mqstout:HYBRID products should not exist. Either fully one or fully the other. Attempting to mix is always a bad thing.
So the underlying logic here is that it is okay for digital games that depend on specific hardware to stop working. It is okay for physical games that depend on physical components that can break, disintegrate, or otherwise stop functioning. But it is not okay for hybrid games?
Also, is there some underlying assumption here that entertainment should last ‘forever’? I’m not talking about preservation here, because Golem Arcana is clearly already preserved on hardware that can still play it (you can even still buy compatable hardware on Amazon), just as C64 games are preserved on legacy hardware and emulators - but rather about the idea of ‘consumption forever’?
