Date Published: December 28, 2020

More than two dozen Georgetown alumni will be sworn into the 117th U.S. Congress the first week in January, continuing the university’s long legacy of alumni serving the public.

A map of the United States shows where Georgetown alumni were elected to Congressional seats.

With two alumni retiring – Rep. Francis Rooney (C’75, L’78) (R-Florida) and Rep. Peter Visclosky (L’82) (D-Indiana), 28 alumni will be part of the new Congress.

A chamber breakdown graphic shows 20 Georgetown alumni in the House and seven in the Senate.

August Pfluger (G’19) and Jon Ossoff (SFS’09) are newly elected alumni, winning seats in Texas’ 11th District and Georgia, respectively.
