First in a Series of Solutions for Automated Parking Lot Checkout Machines
– DG Financial Technology, Inc. (HQ: Tokyo; Representative Director, President and Co-COO: Hiroshi Shino; DGFT), a payment service provider and a subsidiary of Digital Garage, Inc. (TSE Prime section: 4819; HQ: Tokyo; Representative Director, President Executive Officer and Group CEO: Kaoru Hayashi; Digital Garage) has been selected by Amano Corporation (HQ: Kanagawa; President and Representative Director: Manabu YAMAZAKI; Amano), a leading parking system manufacturer with approximately 60%*1 of the domestic market share of gate-type parking systems for its payment service.
– Amano will implement DGFT’s integrated QR code payment solution “Cloud Pay” in its newly released “GT-4200” dedicated cashless payment machine for parking facilities.
– Accordingly, the new “GT-4200” machine can now accept QR code payments for multiple brands. This is the first step in providing a solution for automated parking lot checkout machines and is the beginning of support for the shift to cashless payment in the parking lot market.
■Overview
By connecting DGFT’s QR code payment solution, “Cloud Pay,” to Amano’s newly released GT-4200 cashless payment machine for parking facilities, QR code-compatible payment machines will be installed in the facilities of parking facility operators in partnership with Amano.
Since this machine is “completely cashless” and does not handle cash, it can be installed at a lower cost than conventional cash-operated machines. It also reduces the time and labor required to collect money and the risk of theft, contributing to labor savings and streamlining of administrative operations.
Users will be able to use “PayPay,” “au PAY,” “d payment (d Barai),” “Rakuten Pay,” and “Merpay” to make payments. This will not only shorten the time required for payment compared to cash payments but also improve convenience by earning points for each QR code service.
DGFT’s “Cloud Pay” (https://www.cloud-pay.jp/mpm/s/ patent number: No. 7303664) is one of the most extensive bundled QR code payment services in Japan*2, which allows users to access multiple QR code payment services simply by contracting with DGFT.
The easy introduction of QR code payments has been well received by various businesses facing challenges in business efficiency and cashless operations. Hence, its introduction is spreading mainly in the automated machinery market, including online payment systems for retailers and restaurants, vending and checkout machines, and amusement facilities such as game arcades.

■Future roadmap
DGFT and Amano plan to add a new code payment service to the machine and strengthen their collaboration to promote the cashless parking market, including the development of a next-generation parking lot payment system.
DGFT will continue to provide highly scalable solutions in the QR code payment domain that meet the needs of a wide range of businesses, from small to large, centered on “Cloud Pay” and “Cloud Pay Neo,” a terminal-less QR payment service.
