Outdoor advertising pioneer Jean-Claude Decaux died in May 2016 at age 78. He was worth $7 billion at the time. Decaux founded his outdoor advertising firm in 1964. It was the first company to set up automatic public toilets in Paris where it splashed its ads. He ran the company for decades but stepped down as CEO in 2000, handing control to sons Jean-Francois and Jean-Charles. In 2014 the company won a Guinness World Record for creating the world's largest outdoor advertising billboard at Riyadh's King Khaled International Airport in Saudi Arabia.
