NOAA Fisheries will hold a virtual meeting on February 18, 2026, regarding the harvest of North Pacific albacore.
The purpose of the meeting is to support the current harvest strategy, gather stakeholder input, and prepare for anticipated discussions at the 2026 meetings of the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission and Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC) Northern Committee.
Meeting topics will include:
- Translating fishing intensity into catch and/or effort limits
- Timeline of important events leading up to the 2026 meeting of the WCPFC Northern Committee
- Update on electronic logbooks for hook and line gear

This meeting is open to the public and will be conducted via web conference.
Complete the meeting interest form by February 11, 2026, if you would like to attend the meeting and/or receive meeting materials. Meeting documents will be emailed in advance of the web conference.
