Notes:Diplodiacomprises two morphological groups that are supported by two distinct phylogenetic lineages. In one type the conidia are initially hyaline and aseptate, later becoming brown and 1-septate. Pigmentation is often delayed and in some species dark conidia are never seen. In the second type the conidia become pigmented at an early stage, even while they are enclosed within the pycnidia, they only rarely become septate.
