The start window appears when EmEditor is opened, and providing quick access to recent files. The start window has a button to restore the previousworkspace. It also tells you if an update is available.

If you accidentally close the start window, you can open it from an empty document by pressing the down key.

If you don’t want the start window to open at start, you can clickCustomize…in the start window, and uncheckAlways show the Start window when EmEditor launches without opening files.
