View theStorage Explorer in the Applications UI.

  1. Create a new role, named something likestorage-explorer_user, and assign the following privileges:

    TypePrivilegePurpose
    ClustermonitorMonitor the disk space used by APM data streams
    Indexmonitor onlogs-apm*Monitor access tologs-apm* for storage explorer
    Indexmonitor onmetrics-apm*Monitor access tometrics-apm* for storage explorer
    Indexmonitor ontraces-apm*Monitor access totraces-apm* for storage explorer
    TypePrivilegePurpose
    ClustermonitorMonitor the disk space used by APM indices
    Indexmonitor onapm-*Monitor access toapm-* for storage explorer

  2. Assign thestorage-explorer_user created previously, and the roles and privileges necessary to create afull orpartial APM reader to any users that need to viewStorage Explorer in the Applications UI.
