As a publisher established by and working with learned societies, EDP Sciences supports open access and the unrestricted dissemination of science. We aim to transition our entire portfolio of journals into full open access journals in the coming years.

A number of our journals are either fully open access already, or included in transformative agreements with institutions and consortia supporting us in our transition to full open access. EDP Sciences is actively engaged in integrating additional journals and institutions in existing transformative agreements, and negotiating further agreements. An example of such an agreement is theNational open access agreement in France.

We are also exploring and developing new publication models, such asSubscribe to Open (S2O), which offer meaningful alternatives to subscriptions and support open science. Find out more about our portfolio and publication chargeshere.
