Mystery surrounds the death of a man who died at his home in Norfolk. 

Keith Miller was discovered in the retirement housing complex of Portalfield,Stalham, on October 13. 

An inquest opening atNorfolk Coroner’s Court heard the 76-year-old's cause of death could not be ascertained, despite a post mortem examination taking place. 

Area coroner Johanna Thompson told the court Mr Miller had the contributing conditions of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease – commonly abbreviated to COPD – and self-neglect.

She also confirmed his date and place of birth as September 20, 1942, in Coltishall, nearNorth Walsham

A full inquest to determine the circumstances of Mr Miller's death will take place at the court next May.

Evidence will be obtained from those involved with his care, and his next-of-kin will be asked to provide a pen portrait and a statement outlining any concerns they may have.
