Overview
The 2025 Grand Wagoneer is the tippy-top of the Jeep model range. It's a three-row SUV that's more upscale and luxurious than the regular Jeep Wagoneer. Three-row seating is standard, as are plenty of Jeep's latest driver aids and technology features. The Grand Wagoneer can tow too, with a capacity of almost 10,000 pounds. For 2025, Jeep altered the appearance of the window sticker, which now lists a lower price across the board. Surprisingly, Jeep also enhanced the standard equipment levels with the addition of bigger wheels and tires, enhanced standard driver assist systems, and a few other things. The high-output engine also gets a power boost.
Cost to DriveCost to drive estimates for the 2025 Jeep Grand Wagoneer 4dr SUV 4WD (3.0L 6cyl Turbo 8A) and comparison vehicles are based on 15,000 miles per year (with a mix of 55% city and 45% highway driving) and energy estimates of $3.87 per gallon for premium unleaded in North Dakota.
Edmunds spotlight: More stuff, better price
Jeep has managed something rare in the automotive world: giving you more stuff for less money. For 2025, the Grand Wagoneer adds standard equipment like 22-inch wheels, a front passenger display, and additional driver assist tech that includes a driver attention monitor, traffic sign recognition and collision warning at intersections. All that comes with a big price cut compared to last year's Grand Wagoneer.
Competitors to consider
You'll likely want to check out the Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon Denali and Lincoln Navigator. Just like the Grand Wagoneer, they offer plenty of space, features and towing capacity. Other worthy alternatives include the BMW X7, Infiniti QX80, Lexus LX and Mercedes-Benz GLS. Or, if you keep your budget in check, the regular Wagoneer might do as well. Read our test team's Expert Rating to help you decide which three-row SUV is best for you.
Edmunds Expert Rating
Performance
The Grand Wagoneer has a decent amount of off-road capability, at least relative to other SUVs of this size. Four-wheel drive is standard on all trims. Its standard adaptive air suspension provides up to 10 inches of ground clearance. Unfortunately this Jeep doesn't handle on the road as well as its contemporaries. While full-size SUVs aren't exactly known for their nimbleness, the Grand Wagoneer moves with less composure and athleticism around turns than most other behemoths in this class.
Comfort
We're underwhelmed with the Grand Wagoneer's ride quality, though. This SUV is based on the Ram 1500, and its independent rear suspension and adjustable air springs should in theory improve the ride even more. The Grand Wagoneer smooths out small bumps just fine, but driving over bigger bumps can result in some uncomfortable body motions. Uneven pavement, in particular, can cause the SUV to move side to side pretty dramatically.
Interior
The driving position is great, and it has comparable visibility to similarly mega-sized SUVs. What we don't like are the Grand Wagoneer's touch-sensitive controls. While we understand this attempt to modernize the interior, it's not executed right, and all it does is create distraction and frustration. The Jeep's buttons are sometimes unresponsive and don't provide any haptic feedback. That means you'll often have to take attention off the road to make sure you push a button correctly. Another problem is the touchscreen that retracts to reveal a wireless charger and power ports behind it. It's a neat idea, but in practice you'll have to choose between accessing that cubby and being able to use the touchscreen for many of its convenient controls.

Technology
The upgraded McIntosh sound system failed to impress too as we found it lacked volume when running some of our sample soundtracks. Despite our best efforts, we could not get the optional rear-seat entertainment system to work properly. The one saving grace for the Grand Wagoneer in this category is a fairly comprehensive suite of well-tuned advanced driving aids, most of which come standard. The adaptive cruise control and lane centering assistance are great to have in rush-hour traffic, and the surround-view camera system and blind-spot aids are very helpful in maneuvering in tight spaces.
Storage
As far as storage for small items in the cabin, there are a decent number of options, though the spaces themselves aren't generously sized. We did find ample clearance and space for installing car seats, and the adjustability of the second-row captain's chairs made it really easy to access all the necessary anchors. The Grand Wagoneer also offers exceptional towing capability, with a max capacity of 10,000 pounds. That's good enough to pull a pretty big travel trailer, toy hauler or whatever else you're into.
Fuel Economy
Value
Jeep's warranties are unremarkable. Basic coverage is provided for three years/36,000 miles, and the drivetrain warranty is five years/60,000 miles. Several competitors offer an extra year on one plan or the other, and still more throw in free maintenance, which Jeep does not.
Wildcard
Which Grand Wagoneer does Edmunds recommend?
Considering the lower price and added features, we think the baseGrand Wagoneeris the way to go for 2025.The more expensive Series II and Series III are certainly nice, but there's not as much value to be had from them.

2025 Jeep Grand Wagoneer First Impressions
Overview
The Grand Wagoneer is the tippy-top of the Jeep model range. When it was launched it created a new sub-brand. Much like what Ford has tried to do with the Mustang name, the Wagoneer is its own family under the Jeep surname. It's a luxurious, spacious, tech-packed experience that rivals the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator. Three-row seating is standard for the Grand Wagoneer and the model packs the latest in driver aids and tech. The Grand Wagoneer can tow too, with a capacity of almost 10,000 pounds. Even though 2025 is this big Jeep's fourth model year on sale, we don't expect any major changes. Jeep may issue a face-lift come 2026, but for right now we think it's going to maintain the Grand Wagoneer status quo.
Edmunds spotlight: "Grand" doesn't equal size
The Grand Wagoneer might sound like it's bigger than the regular Wagoneer in the Jeep lineup, but it isn't. Grand doesn't mean bigger in this Jeep's case. Grand means more luxury, and you get plenty of extra goodies for your extra money. You get a much nicer interior with real wood and much nicer leathers throughout — you won't find American walnut in a regular Wagoneer. You also get the option of up to 75 inches of total screen real estate and a 23-speaker, 950-watt McIntosh audio system in the Grand Wagoneer that you can't get in the standard Waggy.
Competitors to consider
Thanks to the American market's incredible appetite for SUVs, there are plenty of other luxe SUVs to pick from. The Cadillac Escalade offers an altogether more well-rounded experience, but for more money. The Lincoln Navigator offers similar levels of comfort and technology but less off-road capability.
Edmunds says
TheGrand Wagoneer offers a genuine American luxury experience. It has the presence and space you'd expect of something in this class; we just wish it offered a more polished driving experience and tighter fit and finish.
