Who is importer in supply chain communication
You are an importer if:
- you buy a chemical product directly from a supplier based outside the EEA and bring it into the EEA territory.
You are not an importer if:
- your non-EEA supplier has appointed an EEA-based only representative to register the substance – then you are adownstream user.
What you have to do depends on the type of product you import (substances, mixtures or articles). Read more about this on theGetting started page for importers.
