      I'm not an audiophile and still could notice how awful the CD sound quality is. Such disappointment from one of my favourites albums

        i'm pretty sure i got an indie exclusive 7" with my mine when i bought the vinyl back on week of release but doesn't seem to be listed here. Anyone else know about this or am i imagining it!?

          I own this copy with voucher code (wave files!). the analog/ vinyl edition sounds very beautiful - warm, full-bodied, rich in details and quiet/ not too loud). the wave files are very precise. short, the vinyl version is an enjoyment.

            This is the version to get on vinyl. GZ did a good job with this, surprisingly. Were Arcade fire involved with the pressing? Some plants send out test pressings to artists to get feedback, if the artist or label pay for it. It's RKS as far as the mastering, so what's not to like? The first song, the title track sounds especially amazing!

              As a lot of the other reviews mention, this pressing is flawless. No pops or clicks. Great mastering on this. Sprawl II sounds fantastic on this record. High quality album. Great record.

                Beautiful pressing, highly recommend. It is quiet in all the right parts. The sleeve look lovely, lyrics printed on the sleeves... got it brand new. Read through the other reviews, doesn't sound flat at all to me. But I have a pretty solid system so that may be the difference maker. Bumps pretty loud, really clean. Played it all the way through, not one skip or pop.

                  Excellent pressing. I also have the Merge pressing and the second record (especially side 4) is unlistenable due to the massive amount of surface noise. This pressing has no such issues. Turn the bass & treble knobs up a bit and it sounds fantastic. The cover is not quite as glossy as the Merge version but I like this one better (and the colors are a tiny bit warmer as well).

                    Turn the volume up a little bit, and it sounds perfectly fine. Not as dynamic as some of the top albums I own, but I think it more than gets the job done.

                      My copy of this, purchased new in 2010, has the "Yellow" cover, and the disc matches Variant 2 except that it says M1S4, which is not one of the runouts listed for the "Yellow" version here. Can anyone explain this inconsistency?
