Help bring our sea lions home! 🦭
Our five beloved sea lions have been away since fall 2023—but their new, upgraded habitat is almost ready! Now we need YOUR help to bring them back to DZCA. 🩵
It costs over $23,000 to reunite our pinniped pod. This includes roadtrip expenses to bring four sea lions home this summer, funds to bring Nick home later this fall and travel funds for an Animal Care Specialist to help bring our sea lions home.

We`re honored to announce a new partnership with Kyambura Lion Monitoring Project, part of the Volcanoes Safaris Partnership Trust, in Uganda to help protect one of East Africa’s most threatened lion populations. With fewer than 40 lions remaining in Queen Elizabeth National Park, our support will aid in daily monitoring of the lion population, conducting an annual census of carnivores in the park, and training local Ugandans in scientific monitoring techniques.
