Tony BoyleMemoriam
In Loving Memory of Tony Boyle 1944 – 2024 Tony Boyle, 80, passed away a year ago on November 19, 2024, after enduring several years of health challenges with “Aussie” strength.
Tony immigrated from Sydney, Australia to Denver, Colorado in 1990. He was the love of my life, and I was grateful to be his 2nd wife for over 34 years. Tony was so proud of his Australian family from his first marriage and grateful for our shared love for his three “Aussie” children, Michelle, Jamie and Cavell and our 10 grandkids and 5 great grandkids. He quickly became a cherished member of my American family and was a “good mate” to so many friends. Tony influenced the lives of so many people through his 38+ years of sobriety.
Tony’s life was an adventure in learning and growing starting with being a young farmer on Kangaroo Island (reciting Shakespeare while riding his tractor), helping to raise his children in their early years, being the Aussie Marlboro man, running for political office, becoming a national and international model, acting in The Young Doctors Australian soap opera and running his own film production company in Sydney doing corporate videos and NGO filming of refugees in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Malawi. While living in America, Tony co-wrote a variety of screenplays and wrote his first novel, Kangaroo Island with his sequel Under the Southern Cross to be published by 2026.
Tony loved the profession of nursing and the fact that his sister, his mother and I were nurses. He appreciated the care he received from so many nurses and nursing staff. Donations in Tony’s honor can be made to the Denver Health Kathy and Tony Boyle Nursing Education Fund:https://host.nxt.blackbaud.com/adaptive-donor-form/?formId=444ad3ad-bbb6-4214-a796-8865b14b2000&envid=p-MyiZHfDiLEmvnGvwvDyU0w&zone=usa
Tony always brought his Australian charm, humor and insights to his life experiences. He was a one-of-a-kind man with a passion for life, seeing life as “a miracle, a blessing, a wonder and an extraordinary gift”. He lived his life with humility, grace and Aussie spirit. Tony is greatly missed by so many people.
Rest in peace, my dearest Tony, after a well-lived life.
All my love forever, Kathy
