About Us

EURECA Project
EURECA Project – EU Resource Efficiency Coordination Action

The EURECA project is an EU Commission funded initiative under the Horizon 2020 programme. Launched in March 2015, EURECA brings together partners from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands, and Germany. The project is designed to provide tailored solutions to identify cost-saving opportunities while highlighting the environmental implications of procurement decisions in data centres.

Currently, EURECA supports consolidation, new build, and retrofit data centre projects across multiple European countries, with a strong emphasis on public procurement for innovation (PPI). The project also contributes to the development of European standards, best practices, and policies related to energy efficiency and green public procurement in data centres, providing robust scientific evidence and data.
