Colombo, Feb 20 (Daily Mirror) - Veteran singer Amitha Wedisinghe, a senior artiste who also served as a music teacher, passed away this morning. 

She is remembered for her evergreen hit songs, including those sung nearly 50 years ago.

Meanwile, some of her most popular songs include "Anothaththa Wila," "Beddapura Sudu Redda Wage," "Adara Charika," and "Senkadagalapura."

Her remains lie at Jayaratne Restpect, Colombo 8

Viewing: Monday February 24, 8:30am-10pm and Tuesday February 25, 8:30am-3:30pm

Paansa Kulaya: Tuesday February 25, 3:30pm

Cremation: Borella Cemetery at 5pm
