Spot Strapping
WINNIPEG. -- School teachers here have been given authority to give on-the-spot strappings to unruly students.
Formerly teachers who considered a pupil's actions warranted corporal punishment were required to take the student before the principal, who either strapped the student or gave the teacher permission to do so.
