    Accounts

For the highest level of protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) we recommend that schools use the Access Code method to provide their students with the full functionality of Construct 3. When this method is used, we store no data concerning the student. If you use direct assignment of licenses to student accounts then we will record the username and email address of those accounts.

Register an account on our website

Accounts are created via our website and as previously mentioned, give you access to both the account section on construct.net and whichever Construct 3 version you have licensed to you within the editor.

To register a new account, click in the top-right corner of the website on the button "Register". If you’ve previously had an account with us on scirra.com, you can use the same credentials.

Input the required information, a unique username, password and valid email address:

Please make sure your email address is correct and current as you will need to access it in order to verify your account.

You can also decide if you want to receive any emails from us here. Simply enable either of the options under Recommended if they take your fancy. You can always update your preferences later too.

Please note you will also receive an email asking you to verify your email address. If you do not receive it, please check your spam folders, and make sure your email address is correct in your profile – you can edit this by clicking Edit Your Profile in the Profile menu.

If you have any issues verifying your email, please contact us atsupportxpb@construct.net.

When your account has been successfully verified, you'll see confirmation of this in the Edit Your Profile section.

Whenever you're logged into your account, you'll be able to see your profile image in the top-right corner and hovering over it with the mouse will bring up the above menu. You can access all sorts of account details from here as well as the option to log out of your account. This is also where you can access the pages for managing your plans, licenses and invoices.

Our website and the Construct 3 engine itself are two different entities, so while they share the same account, you'll need to log into the engine separately at editor.construct.net.

When you first start Construct 3, you'll use it as a Guest - this means you are not logged in to an account. Construct 3 shows your account status near the top-right corner. You can click this "badge" to show a menu with some account options.

This will open a small window where you can input your login details.

Once you've successfully logged in, the Guest icon should be replaced by your username and profile image.
