I'm a grandson of a Polish soldier,Stanisław Kaczmarek,who served in the1st Polish Armoured Division during WW2 under British command.While in Guildford, Surrey, he married my grandmother Irena, who served in the Women's Auxiliary Service, 2nd Polish Corps in Italy.
