Tariffs have already had an effect on prices across industries, and that includes popular gaming equipment from PlayStation 5. Sony increased the price ofPlayStation 5 consoles in the US in August, not unlike its competitors Microsoft and Nintendo, who have also raised their prices.

From now on, thebase PS5 costs $550 and the digital edition costs $500. For those who might want thePlayStation 5 Pro, the new price is $750.PlayStation explained that a "challenging economic environment" is behind the new prices.
