2B Umpire Chris Guccione ejected Tigers manager AJ Hinch (Replay Review call that upheld HP Umpire Dexter Kelley's safe call on Tommy Pham; QOCY) in the top of the 10th inning of the #Pirates-#Tigers game. With none out and one on, Pirates batter Ke'Bryan Hayes hit a 2-2 sinker from Tigers pitcher Brant Hurter on a ground ball to right fielder Kerry Carpenter, who threw to catcher Jake Rogers as Pirates baserunner R2 Pham arrived at home plate, ruled safe by HP Umpire Kelley and affirmed via Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Tigers manager Hinch. Replays do not conclusive indicate whether Pham touched home plate prior to Rogers' tag, the call was correct. At the time of the ejection, the Pirates were leading, 5-4. The Pirates ultimately won the contest, 8-4, in 10 innings.

HP Umpire Marvin Hudson ejected Tigers manager AJ Hinch (Replay Review decision that upheld 2B Umpire Nick Mahrley's catch [out] call; QOCN) in the bottom of the 9th inning of the #WhiteSox-#Tigers game. With none out and none on, Tigers batter Zach McKinstry hit a 2-2 fastball from White Sox pitcher Enyel De Los Santos on a fly ball to right fielder Dominic Fletcher, who attempted to catch the baseball near the outfield wall, ruled a catch (out) by 2B Umpire Mahrley. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Tigers manager Hinch, the out call stood. Replays indicate the fly ball appeared to touch the outfield wall before being caught by Fletcher, the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the White Sox were leading, 9-5. The White Sox ultimately won the contest, 9-5.

With one out and one on, Baez took a 3-2 sinker from Astros pitcher Framber Valdez for a called third strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located over the inner edge of home plate and thigh-high (px -0.66, pz 2.35), but that the pitch timer might have expired prior to Valdez initiating his motion to deliver the pitch (the penalty for which is an automatic ball). At the time of the ejection, the Astros were leading, 1-0. The Tigers ultimately won the contest, 4-1.

In the 5th, with one out and one on (R1), Angels batter Justin Upton attempted to swing at a first-pitch sinker from Tigers pitcher Matt Manning, ruled a foul ball by HP Umpire Wolcott and overturned to catcher's interference as a result of a Manager's Challenge by Angels manager Joe Maddon. Replays indicate Upton's bat made contact with Tigers catcher Dustin Garneau's mitt as the pitch arrived at home plate, the call was correct. At the time of the ejection, the Tigers were leading, 9-2.

In the 6th, Tigers pitcher Jimenez gave up a single to Angels batter Phil Gosselin, and walked Angels batters Jared Walsh and Upton. With two out and one on (R1), Tigers batter Jeimer Candelario hit a 2-2 fastball from Indians pitcher Adam Plutko on a line drive to right field, where the ball bounced stuck to the base of the outfield wall, ruled a stuck ball pursuant to Official Baseball Rule 5.06(b)(4)(F) by Timmons. Replays indicate the ball rolled to the wall and became stationary by the obstruction caused by the padding protruding from the wall and gap left between the base of the padding and dirt warning track, the call was correct.*Play was reviewed and affirmed by the UEFL Appeals Board, the call was correct. At the time of Gardenhire's ejection, the game was tied, 3-3.

With one out and none on in the top of the 5th inning, Cabrera flied out against Astros pitcher Wade Miley, having been instructed by Marquez to promptly enter the batter's box, as in Rule 5.04(b)(1), before being ejected one inning later for arguing that Astros batter Yordan Alvarez was purportedly not receiving a similar instruction, the call was irrecusable.* At the time of the ejections, the Astros were leading, 4-2. Replays indicate fielder Ramirez momentarily gained secure possession in his glove of the ball such that after the ball came to a complete stop, firmly held in his glove, his subsequent release/transfer was voluntary and intentional, during which process he dropped the ball, the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the game was tied, 4-4. The Marlins ultimately won the contest, 5-4, in 11 innings.
