£7m tickets in one day
Lee Evans has sold almost £7million of tickets to his 2011 tour in just one day.
Box offices opened for his new 50-date Roadrunner show at 9am on Friday and by 6pm he had sold 227,424 tickets at £30 each.
Promoters Off The Kerb say that is the biggest first day sale of any British comedy tour ever.
Evans is playing arenas in 14 cities from August to November 2011 –click here for full dates – with additional shows expected to be added this week.
