Cootes scored two goals and added an assist in WHL Seattle's 4-3 win over Prince George on Saturday.

Cootes' stay in the NHL with theCanucks lasted three games before he went back to junior. He's taken very little time to get back on track with the Thunderbirds, putting up five points in four games since returning to the WHL. The 15th overall pick in 2025 will be just fine -- perhaps even better than fine -- for his brief NHL experience this year, but he needs time to continue growing his game at a lower level.

Patterson scored twice on five shots in OHL Niagara's 4-1 win over Kingston on Saturday.

Patterson, a fourth-round pick of theCanucks in 2024, has been a point-per-game player for the IceDogs this year. He has five goals, six assists and 36 shots on net over 11 appearances. Patterson signed his entry-level contract during training camp in September, so he looks to be on track to join AHL Abbotsford in 2026-27. He hasn't shown growth on offense yet in his junior career, but he's been consistently around a point-per-game pace.

Hughes notched two assists, including one on the power play, and two blocked shots in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Canadiens.

Hughes was held off the scoresheet in the previous two games, a span in which theCanucks potted just two goals. He helped out on tallies by Jake DeBrusk and Conor Garland in this contest. For the season, Hughes has one goal, six assists, five power-play points, 18 shots on net, six blocks and a minus-1 rating over nine appearances. There's another level to the 26-year-old's game, but it will take some cooperation from the rest of the Canucks' offense for him to get there.

DeBrusk scored a power-play goal on five shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Canadiens.

DeBrusk put theCanucks ahead 2-0 in the second period, but the Canadiens responded with the next four goals to run away with the game. It was DeBrusk's second tally of the campaign, both of which have come on the power play. He has four points, 27 shots on net, eight hits, three blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through nine outings. While he hasn't played at his full potential so far, he's had some flashes and should ultimately be a positive player in fantasy as long as he stays on the top line.

Garland scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist, added two hits and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Canadiens.

Garland has found the scoresheet in five of the last six games, with a trio of multi-point efforts in that span. The 29-year-old is up to three goals, six helpers, 24 shots, eight hits and a plus-5 rating through nine contests overall. His line with Elias Pettersson and Jake DeBrusk led the way for theCanucks on Saturday, and they could make quite an effective trio if they remain productive.

Pettersson scored a goal on four shots, added two assists, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Canadiens.

This was Pettersson's first multi-point effort of the season. The 26-year-old is heating up with five points over his last four contests, but it would be a positive to see him sustain this level of production over a longer stretch. Overall, he's at two goals, five assists, 15 shots on net, 19 blocked shots, 11 hits and a plus-3 rating across nine appearances.

Lankinen allowed four goals on 24 shots in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Canadiens.

Lankinen has gone 1-3-0 over his first four outings this season, allowing at least four goals in each loss. The 30-year-old squandered a 2-0 lead in this contest. TheCanucks have alternated Lankinen and Thatcher Demko over the last eight games, but head coach Adam Foote may eventually opt to increase Demko's workload since he's getting better results. Lankinen is likely to watch from the bench in Sunday's game against the Oilers.

Lankinen will draw the home start against Montreal on Saturday, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.

Lankinen will look to bounce back from a 5-1 loss to Pittsburgh on Tuesday. The 30-year-old has been a rock-solid backup option for theCanucks, but he is off to a sluggish start with a 1-2-0 record through three appearances this season.

Mancini was recalled from AHL Abbotsford on Saturday.

Mancini played four games for theCanucks earlier in the month, going scoreless with four blocked shots and six hits. The Canucks reassigned defenseman Tom Willander in a corresponding move.

Willander was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Saturday.

Willander was a healthy scratch for both games after he was recalled Oct. 20. The 20-year-old was selected 11th overall in the 2023 Draft and has yet to appear in an NHL game. He will get plenty of ice time in Abbotsford and could be recalled later in the season. TheCanucks recalled defenseman Victor Mancini in a corresponding move.

Lekkerimaki (undisclosed) is expected to miss another 2-3 weeks, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports Friday.

Lekkerimaki left Sunday's 4-3 win over Washington because of the injury and has missed Vancouver's past two games. He has a goal, three shots and five hits in four appearances in 2025-26. Lukas Reichel was acquired by Vancouver from Chicago on Friday in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick, and the 23-year-old Reichel should be a regular in theCanucks' lineup going forward. That acquisition will likely make it harder for Lekkerimaki to find a role with Vancouver once he's healthy.

General manager Patrik Allvin said Friday thatForbort (undisclosed) had a setback in his recovery and is now considered week-to-week, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports.

Forbort has been on injured reserve since mid-October, and while an initial timetable for his return was unclear, it's discouraging that he had a setback. The 33-year-old isn't guaranteed to be a consistent presence in the lineup once he returns to full health.

Reichel was acquired by Vancouver from Chicago on Friday in exchange for a 2027 fourth-round draft pick.

Reichel hasn't developed as Chicago hoped after the Blackhawks took him with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2020 NHL draft. He recorded just 16 points in 65 outings and 22 points in 70 appearances in the 2023-24 and 2024-25 regular seasons, respectively. The 23-year-old Reichel does have two goals and four points in five appearances this year, but that's largely due to a three-point showing against St. Louis on Oct. 15, and he's followed that up with an assist across his past three outings. Reichel will probably start his Vancouver tenure in a bottom-six role, but the change of scenery will help gradually unlock some of his offensive potential.

Blueger (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Friday, retroactive to Oct. 19.

Blueger has missed the last two games due to an undisclosed injury, and his placement on IR signals that he'll at least be unavailable for Saturday's game against the Canadiens. It's not clear when he'll be able to return to action, but Nils Aman will likely continue to draw into theCanucks' lineup in Blueger's absence.

Sasson scored a goal in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Predators.

Sasson has found the back of the net in three of his five appearances this season. He's been extremely effective since he has three goals on six shots, so it'd be fair to expect some regression in the efficiency department. Still, the 25-year-old should continue to have opportunities to produce as long as he remains in a top-six role for Vancouver.

Demko stopped 33 of 35 shots in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Predators.

It's hard to blame Demko for the outcome of this game, as the lone two goals he conceded were a shorthanded tally and a tip-in, and his 33 saves were the second-most he's recorded in a game this campaign. Through five starts, Demko owns an excellent .927 save percentage and a 2.24 GAA. His next chance to suit up will come against the Canadiens on Saturday, but it's unclear if he'll get the nod since Vancouver has been rotating goaltenders in the last few games.
