It remains to be seen whether this injury will affect Sogaard's availability for theSenators coming out of the Olympic break.

Vanek scored two goals in WHL Calgary's 4-3 loss to Edmonton on Saturday.

Vanek has been a finisher for the Hitmen since his Jan. 7 trade from Wenatchee. He has seven goals in 17 games with Calgary, though he snapped a nine-game point drought with Saturday's performance. Overall, he's at 15 goals and 25 points across 54 appearances in his first junior season.

He stopped 32 of 37 shots before leaving the match. According to Mark Masters of TSN, Sogaard initially sustained the injury in the second period, and it got worse. Frederik Dichow entered the game and allowed America's sixth goal. It's unclear whether Sogaard will be an option for Denmark versus Latvia on Sunday. However, it wouldn't be surprising if Frederik Andersen got the start Sunday regardless of Sogaard's availability. Andersen got Saturday's game off after being in the net for Thursday's 3-1 loss to Germany.

Sogaard will defend the crease for Denmark against the United States on Saturday at the 2026 Winter Olympics, Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press reports.

Sogaard will make his Olympic debut after Frederik Andersen played in Thursday's 3-1 loss to Germany. The 25-year-old Sogaard has spent most of the 2025-26 season with AHL Belleville, where he has posted a 4-8-4 record with a 3.30 GAA and an .889 save percentage across 18 appearances.

Stutzle scored two goals, including one on the power play, in Germany's 3-1 win over Denmark in the 2026 Olympics on Thursday.

Stutzle made his presence felt in the second period, scoring Germany's second and third goals en route to a solid win over Denmark. Stutzle is one of Germany's most reliable offensive weapons alongside Leon Draisaitl, and they carried their team to victory in this opening game.

Yakemchuk scored two goals in AHL Belleville's 5-3 loss to Syracuse on Friday.

This was Yakemchuk's first multi-goal game at the AHL level. He has three goals and an assist over the last four contests and a total of 23 points in 35 outings this season. Yakemchuk also has a minus-24 rating, and he'll need to make some improvements defensively before he'll be in line for a full-time NHL role.

Shepard was loaned to AHL Belleville on Friday.

Shepard was recalled Thursday, as Linus Ullmark was unable to dress due to an illness. Shepard backed up James Reimer in a 2-1 overtime win in Philadelphia. Shepard has played one game at the NHL level this season, allowing two goals on 12 shots in a 5-3 loss to Detroit on Jan. 5.

Halliday was reassigned to AHL Belleville on Friday.

TheSenators want the 23-year-old center to play during the Olympic break, hence the move to send him to Belleville. Halliday has four goals and seven assists in 25 NHL games this season, including all four goals in his last seven games. He should be recalled ahead of Ottawa's matchup versus Detroit on Feb. 26.

Cousins scored a goal on three shots and added five hits in Thursday's 2-1 overtime win over the Flyers.

Cousins has two goals over his last five outings. The 32-year-old continues to see bottom-six minutes, though his ice time has gotten a boost since David Perron (groin) exited the lineup. For the season, Cousins has eight goals and 16 points, both of which are his highest marks since his 27-point campaign with the Panthers in 2022-23. He's added 52 shots on net, 116 hits, 61 PIM and a plus-8 rating over 56 contests this season.

Stutzle scored the game-winning goal and added two hits in Thursday's 2-1 overtime win over the Flyers.

Stutzle has scored in five straight contests and has six goals and four assists during a seven-game point streak. He's taking a ton of momentum into his time with Germany at the Olympics. Stutzle is up to 28 goals, 61 points, 145 shots on net, 89 hits, 31 PIM, 38 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating across 57 appearances this season.

Reimer stopped 15 of 16 shots in Thursday's 2-1 overtime win over the Flyers.

Reimer has gone just 2-2-0 over his last four outings despite facing than fewer than 20 shots in each of those games. He's allowed 12 goals in that span. The 37-year-old is at a 3-3-1 record with a 2.90 GAA and an .870 save percentage. He's in the backup role for theSenators, though Linus Ullmark (illness) figures to make most of the starts after the Olympic break.

Shepard was recalled from AHL Belleville on Thursday.

Shepard was sent to the AHL in late January, but he'll rejoin theSenators ahead of their final game before the Olympic break since Linus Ullmark (illness) will be unavailable. James Reimer will serve as the starter during Thursday's road matchup against Philadelphia, while Shepard will serve as the backup before presumably returning to the minors.

Reimer will defend the road crease against Philadelphia on Thursday.

Reimer struggled on the road against the Hurricanes on Tuesday, allowing four goals on 19 shots (.789 save percentage) in a 4-3 regulation loss. However, he'll draw a second consecutive start leading up to the Olympic break since Linus Ullmark (illness) will be unavailable, while Hunter Shepard was recalled from AHL Belleville to serve as the backup netminder. The Flyers are tied for 21st in the NHL with 2.93 goals per game this year.

Ullmark has been ruled out for Thursday's road game against Philadelphia due to flu-like symptoms.

Ullmark returned from a 14-game absence in late January and has picked up wins in each of his two starts since getting back on the ice, posting a 1.50 GAA and .930 save percentage during that time. However, he'll be unavailable for theSenators' final game before the Olympic break, while James Reimer will draw the start. Hunter Shepard was called up by Ottawa to provide additional depth Thursday, but Ullmark will presumably be able to return when the Senators resume play Feb. 26 against Detroit.

Matinpalo was scratched for the 16th time in 18 games in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Hurricanes.

That span is from the start of January. Matinpalo sat just once during December, but Jordan Spence has claimed a larger share of playing time since the calendar flipped to 2026. Matinpalo has earned four assists, 19 shots on net, 27 hits, 33 blocked shots and 10 PIM over 30 NHL outings this season. The 27-year-old defenseman could get an uptick in usage while representing Finland at the Olympics, though the national team has six other NHL-level blueliners on the roster as well.

Halliday scored a goal, doled out three hits and added two PIM in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Hurricanes.

Halliday opened the scoring at 2:46 of the first period. The 23-year-old is carving out a regular spot on the fourth line with four goals and an assist over his last six outings during his most recent call-up from the AHL. Overall, he's earned 11 points, 26 shots on net, 28 hits and a plus-1 rating in 24 appearances despite averaging 8:10 of ice time.

Stutzle scored a power-play goal on three shots and went minus-3 in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Hurricanes.

Stutzle has scored in four straight games and has a total of five goals and four helpers during a six-game point streak. The 24-year-old is up to 27 goals, 60 points (19 on the power play), 144 shots on net, 87 hits, 38 blocked shots, 31 PIM and a plus-5 rating across 56 outings. He'll look to take this momentum with him to the Olympics, where he'll play for Germany, assuming he gets through Thursday's contest versus the Flyers without an injury.

Sanderson produced a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to Carolina.

The blueliner's tally early in the third period tied the game at 3-3, but theSenators' comeback attempt stalled out. Sanderson has been surging toward the Olympic break, racking up three goals and 13 points, including a goal and four assists with the man advantage, in his last 11 games. Tuesday's goal was also his 11th in 56 outings this campaign, tying his career high from the 2024-25 regular season across 80 appearances.
