Finley scored a goal on three shots and added an assist in the University of Wisconsin's 4-1 win over the University of Alaska-Fairbanks on Saturday.

Finley continues to be a strong scoring force for the Badgers, racking up six points in as many games to begin 2025-26. He was a little better with 20 goals and 20 helpers over 37 outings in 2024-25. The 21-year-old winger is anIslanders prospect and may exhaust his college eligibility before making the jump to the professional ranks.

Romano scored a goal on two shots and added two assists in OHL Kitchener's 4-3 loss to Barrie on Saturday.

Romano factored in on every goal for Kitchener, but it wasn't enough. The 18-year-oldIslanders prospect has four goals and five assists over 11 OHL outings this season. His offense spiked from 22 points in 56 games in 2023-24 to 25 goals and 51 points in 67 outings last season, which was enough for him to go 74th overall in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. He's a speedy skater, and while the offense isn't anywhere near that of a top prospect, his two-way game is strong, giving him third-line potential as an NHLer eventually.

Sorokin made 23 saves in a 4-3 shootout loss to Philadelphia on Saturday.

Sorokin is 2-3-1 with a 3.70 GAA and an .875 save percentage on the season. He gave up four goals in each of his first four games and has surrendered three in each of his last two. Sorokin is one of the league's most talented netminders, but his supporting cast makes statistical excellence a tough call.

Duclair scored a goal Saturday in a 4-3 shootout loss to Philadelphia.

Duclair tapped in a pass through the slot to push theIslanders up 2-0 early in the second period. He has battled consistency issues early in the season, contributing only two goals and one assist through eight games.

Holmstrom scored a shorthanded goal in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Flyers on Saturday.

He also scored in the shootout. Holmstrom is on a three-game, four-point scoring streak (two goals, two assists; seven shots). The 24-year-old winger delivered 45 points, including 20 goals, last season, so 50 may be possible for 2025-26.

Warren had two assists Saturday in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Flyers.

It was his NHL debut, and he made history. Warren is the second defenseman in Isles history to have multiple points in his NHL debut (Rich Pilon, Oct. 6, 1988). He was off to a great start with Bridgeport (AHL) before his call-up. Warren had two goals and three assists in four games there.

Tsyplakov scored a goal in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Flyers on Saturday.

Tsyplakov got his first goal and point of the season. He scored on a redirection of a point shot to put the Isles up 3-2 at 4:21 of the third period. He earned 35 points (10 goals, 25 assists) in 77 games last season. Tsyplakov's ice time Saturday was down to 8:26, and it's been as low as 6:36 this campaign. It will be tough for him to contribute much offensively if he doesn't get more playing time.

Shabanov (upper body) won't play against Philadelphia on Saturday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

Shabanov will miss his second straight game, and it's unclear when he will be ready to return. He has contributed one goal, two assists, eight shots on net and five hits in six appearances this season. Due to Shabanov's absence, Kyle MacLean will play against the Flyers on Saturday.

Hogberg posted a 33-save shutout in AHL Bridgeport's 3-0 win over Hartford on Friday.

Bridgeport was on the attack early, and Hogberg made sure that lead never faded. This was his first AHL shutout since the 2018-19 season -- he didn't have one in 11 appearances with Bridgeport last year in his return to North America after a stint in his native Sweden. Hogberg is currently third on theIslanders' depth chart behind NHL goalies Ilya Sorokin and David Rittich, and he could slip to fourth once Semyon Varlamov (knee) can play again.

Highmore was reassigned to AHL Bridgeport on Friday, according to Stefen Rosner of NHL.com.

Highmore was recalled Thursday and was a healthy scratch in theIslanders' 7-2 win over Detroit. The 29-year-old has four assists in four AHL games this season.

Pulock notched two assists, two shots on goal, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Red Wings.

This was Pulock's first multi-point effort of the season. The 31-year-old defenseman has earned all four of his helpers this year over the last four games. He's added six shots on net, 14 blocks, five hits and a plus-4 rating in seven outings. Pulock continues to be primarily a defensive force in a top-four role, but the quick emergence of Matthew Schaefer has cut off his access to playing in better scoring situations.

Palmieri scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Red Wings.

Palmieri has two goals and an assist over his last three games. The 34-year-old winger has remained steady on offense while playing on the top line, though he saw a season-low 16:59 of ice time in this blowout win. That was likely just for rest, so it's nothing to be worried about. Palmieri is at three goals, three assists, 22 shots, seven hits, six blocked shots and a minus-1 rating through seven appearances.

Pageau scored a goal on two shots, added two hits, blocked two shots and went plus-3 in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Red Wings.

Pageau has two goals and two assists this season, all coming within the last five games. The third-line center has added eight shots on net, 15 hits, five blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over seven total appearances. Pageau has seen a role reduction compared to last year, as his average ice time is down 2:15 per game, with much of that loss coming from a lack of power-play usage. He can still chip in depth scoring, but the lack of premium minutes in advantageous situations will limit his output in the long run.

Holmstrom scored a goal on four shots, dished an assist and went plus-3 in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Red Wings.

Holmstrom helped out on Tony DeAngelo's opening goal and scored the last of theIslanders' seven tallies. That goal was Holmstrom's first of the year to go with three assists, eight shots on net, nine blocked shots and a minus-2 rating across seven appearances. The 24-year-old winger is filling a primarily defensive role on the third line, but his performance Thursday could spark his offense.

DeAngelo scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Red Wings.

DeAngelo opened the scoring at 2:05 of the first frame when he jumped into the rush, took a cross-ice pass and beat Cam Talbot blocker side. DeAngelo had gotten off to a quiet start this season with just one assist, and these points Thursday more than double his overall total (one goal, two assists; seven games).

Rittich made 31 saves Thursday in a 7-2 win over Detroit.

One of the Red Wings goals came on the power play, and the other was scored at even strength. After the game, head coach Patrick Roy lauded Rittich for his strong play, which could earn him a few more starts. Rittich is 2-0-0 with a 2.01 GAA and .939 save percentage this season.

Lee put up a trio of assists Thursday in a 7-2 win over Detroit.

Lee has been on fire recently, logging seven points (two goals, five assists) in his past three appearances after going four games without a point to start the season. His shot total has increased significantly over his last three outings -- he has 15 in that span compared to eight in four matchups before that. Lee delivered 54 points last season, so the 35-year-old will be hopeful he can repeat that feat or exceed it this year, and he's off to a solid start.

Schaefer was plus-2 in 25:14 of ice time Thursday against the Red Wings.

Schaefer's season-opening point streak ended at six games (two goals, five assists). It was tied for the longest point streak to start a career by a defenseman in NHL history.
