Davidson scored two goals on five shots in AHL Laval's 4-2 win over Utica on Saturday.

Davidson has four goals and an assist over seven games to begin his third year with the Rocket. The 23-year-old center is on the second and final year of his entry-level contract, and it's not clear if he's shown enough in the minors to earn a qualifying offer this summer.

Carrier notched two assists, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Canucks.

Carrier has picked up three helpers over three games on this road trip out west. The 29-year-old set up the go-ahead goal by Mike Matheson and the eventual game-winner by Ivan Demidov in a span of 2:50 during the middle of the third period. Carrier doesn't get a ton of great offensive looks, but he receives plenty of ice time as a shutdown blueliner. He's at a goal, four assists, nine shots on net, 25 blocked shots, six PIM and a minus-2 rating across 10 outings this season.

Matheson scored a goal on two shots and blocked three shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Canucks.

Matheson has scored twice over the last three games, one being a game-winner and the other a go-ahead goal. The 31-year-old defenseman is up to three goals, six points, 15 shots on net, 21 blocked shots, 12 hits and a plus-7 rating over 10 appearances. TheCanadiens lean heavily on their top-four blueliners, Matheson included, and so far, that's meant he can produce enough all around in fantasy despite a lack of power-play usage.

Suzuki scored a power-play goal on two shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Canucks.

After being held off the scoresheet in theCanadiens' season opener, Suzuki has contributed at least a point in nine straight games. The 26-year-old is up to two goals, 11 assists, 23 shots on net and a plus-7 rating through 10 appearances. As the team's top-line center and arguably the most important forward, big scoring totals aren't unusual for Suzuki. He had 30 goals and a career-best 89 points in the 2024-25 regular season and should be able to sustain at least a point-per-game pace this year as well.

Slafkovsky scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Canucks.

Slafkovsky earned his first multi-point effort of the season. His tally tied the game at 2-2 early in the third period, and theCanadiens kept the momentum going to ultimately secure the win. Slafkovsky now has four goals, one assist, 23 shots on net, 21 hits, 12 blocked shots, eight PIM and a plus-3 rating over 10 appearances. He can do better on offense, but he's offset some of his slow start with ample non-scoring production so far.

Demidov scored a goal and added two power-play assists in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Canucks.

The goal was just the second of the year for Demidov. The 19-year-old has yet to go multiple games in a row without a point, and this was his second multi-point effort of the campaign. He's at nine points (nine shots on net), six PIM and a plus-3 rating through 10 contests. Demidov and Islanders rookie Matthew Schaefer are emerging as the early favorites for the Calder Trophy this year. With Demidov rising to the top power-play unit Saturday, his offense should remain steady as long as he can hold that role.

Dobes stopped 28 of 31 shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Canucks.

Dobes remains undefeated this season, rattling off his fifth straight win to open the campaign. It was the first time he's given up more than two goals in 2025-26, but he was sharp enough to settle in after giving up the first two tallies of the contest. On the year, Dobes is 5-0-0 with a 1.77 GAA and a .940 save percentage. No goalie can sustain numbers that good, but Dobes has been the better of theCanadiens' netminders and looks poised to claw some playing time away from Sam Montembeault.

Dobes is slated to guard the road crease against Vancouver on Saturday.

Dobes will be looking to extend his season-opening winning streak to five games. He's posted a 1.47 GAA and a .950 save percentage across his four victories. Vancouver is 4-4-0 and is tied for 25th in goals per game with 2.63.

Laine underwent core muscle surgery Saturday and will be out of action for 3-4 months.

Laine had only one assist in five games before he left the lineup with the injury. It's a big blow to the Montreal power play after Laine had 15 goals with the man advantage last season. Based on his current timeline, he might return at the end of January or late February.

Kapanen notched two assists in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Oilers.

This was Kapanen's first two-point effort of the season, and they were his first helpers. The 22-year-old has added four goals through nine contests, providing surprisingly effective depth scoring from a third-line role. Kapanen has added 12 shots on net, eight hits, six blocked shots and a plus-2 rating. His current scoring pace won't last, but the center is establishing himself as a quality two-way forward in what's likely to be his first full NHL campaign.

Hutson posted two assists, three shots on goal and two blocked shots in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Oilers.

Hutson has gotten on the scoresheet in six of the last seven contests. He's produced one goal, seven assists, 14 shots on net, 14 blocked shots, six hits and a plus-2 rating through nine outings this season. Hutson's passing vision and creativity on offense are a positive, and he's holding his own in the defensive zone. While he's earned just one power-play point so far, his production in that area should pick up as long as he stays on the top unit.

Anderson scored a goal and added two PIM in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Oilers.

Anderson netted his first goal of the campaign at 16:57 of the second period, the first of three tallies over a span of 1:52 to give theCanadiens a lead late in the frame. The 31-year-old winger has been quiet on offense so far, earning two points, 12 shots on net, 11 hits, four PIM and five blocked shots across nine outings. He's scored at least 15 goals in four of the previous five campaigns, so there is some potential for more offense here, but it's unclear if he'll cash in on it this year as a middle-six forward better known for his checking.

Newhook scored two goals on three shots and added two hits in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Oilers.

Newhook is heating up with two goals and three assists over his last three outings. The 24-year-old has held down a middle-six role to begin 2025-26, though this was just the second time in nine games he's recorded multiple shots on net. He's up to three goals, four helpers, 11 shots, 12 hits and a plus-5 rating. Newhook's offense may not be sustainable, as he's not a regular part of the power-play mix.

Caufield scored two goals on five shots in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Oilers.

This was Caufield's third multi-goal game of the season. He had been held off the scoresheet in the previous two contests, but the 24-year-old often doesn't stay quiet for long as part of theCanadiens' highly effective top line and first power-play unit. Caufield is up to seven goals, three assists, 26 shots on net, 11 hits and a plus-5 rating across nine appearances this season.

Montembeault stopped 23 of 29 shots in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Oilers.

Montembeault ceded the crease to Jakub Dobes in consecutive games, which were bothCanadiens wins. In his return to the crease, Montembeault put in his worst performance of the campaign, dropping to 2-3-0 with a 3.82 GAA and an .842 save percentage through five starts. It's unclear how long the Canadiens will tolerate his subpar play, especially when he's yet to face 30 shots in a game. A further slump by Montembeault could open the door for Dobes to see at least an even split of starts for a while. The Canadiens continue their road trip in Vancouver on Saturday.

Dach (lower body) will return to the lineup in Edmonton on Thursday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Dach missed three games with the injury. The center has one goal and one assist in five games this season. Dach is expected to center the second line, alongside Josh Anderson and Brendan Gallagher versus the Oilers.
