Nurse got theOilers within a goal with 5:25 left in the contest, but they couldn't tie it up. The 30-year-old defenseman has three points over his last two games and continues to be a top-four regular for Edmonton. He's at five points, 20 shots on net, 29 blocked shots, 17 hits, six PIM and a minus-2 rating over nine appearances. Nurse's all-around production remains his top selling point in fantasy.

Bouchard scored a power-play goal on three shots, added two PIM and went minus-3 in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Kraken.

Bouchard extended his point streak to three games when he tallied his first goal of the season at 15:39 of the second period. However, it was another game to forget in his own zone, as he was on the ice for all three of Seattle's goals. Bouchard is at three points, 30 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating through nine contests. TheOilers' 5-on-5 struggles are part of the problem here, but Bouchard typically can generate enough offense to make up for his defensive lapses -- that just hasn't been the case early in 2025-26.

Skinner stopped 20 of 23 shots in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Kraken.

Skinner has yet to really blow a game, but theOilers aren't giving him sufficient support most of the time. He's now 2-3-1 over six starts despite a 2.31 GAA and a .903 save percentage. Skinner still needs to show the ability to steal a game when his teammates don't have their best performance, but things should even out eventually. Expect Calvin Pickard to get the starting nod in Sunday's road game in Vancouver.

Skinner is coming off a 19-save effort in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over Ottawa. He has a 2-2-1 record this season while stopping 110 of 121 shots. Seattle ranks 23rd in the league with 2.75 goals per game this campaign.

Nurse logged a pair of assists and two blocked shots in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Canadiens.

This was the first multi-point effort of the season for Nurse. He set up goals by Andrew Mangiapane and Vasily Podkolzin, with the latter's tally standing as the game-winner. Nurse is up to four assists, 17 shots on net, 16 hits, 28 blocked shots, six PIM and a minus-3 rating over eight appearances. While there are still some things to iron out in his own zone, he's providing the usual multi-category coverage that keeps him interesting for fantasy formats that reward non-scoring production.

Walman notched two assists, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Canadiens.

Walman has hit the ground running since recovering from an undisclosed injury that kept him out of theOilers' first six games. The 29-year-old blueliner helped out on goals by Adam Henrique and Vasily Podkolzin in this contest, with the latter's tally being the game-winner. Walman has three points, three shots on net, seven blocks and a plus-2 rating across his two appearances, and he's seeing time on the second power-play unit.

McDavid logged three assists, including two on the power play, and added three shots on goal in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Canadiens.

McDavid was right at the heart of theOilers' third-period comeback, setting up goals by Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. The 28-year-old McDavid has multiple helpers in three of eight games to begin the year. He's produced one goal, 10 assists, 25 shots on net and a minus-2 rating. He's too talented to shoot 4.0 percent for a long stretch, so expect his luck to turn around soon.

Tomasek scored a goal and added two hits in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Canadiens.

Tomasek tied the game at 1-1 late in the first period with the first goal of his NHL career. The 29-year-old has added two assists, 12 shots on net, five hits and a minus-1 rating across seven appearances. He isn't a lock for the lineup, but he has received power-play time when he plays. However, his path to the first unit could be gone when Zach Hyman (wrist) returns, likely at the start of November, which will make it tougher for Tomasek to get on the scoresheet.

Henrique scored a goal on four shots and blocked two shots in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Canadiens.

Henrique gave theOilers their first lead of the game, a 2-1 advantage midway through the second period. The 35-year-old has done a decent job from a fourth-line spot this season, posting two goals, one assist, 12 shots on net, 12 blocks, six hits and an even plus-minus rating through eight appearances. Barring injuries, Henrique is unlikely to get above the third line, so he won't carry significant fantasy value in most formats.

Mangiapane scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Canadiens.

Mangiapane put an end to a four-game point drought with his second-period tally. The winger has been solidly in a middle-six role this season, but over eight contests, his ice time has fluctuated from 11:19 to 17:42, and he clocked in at 13:50 in this game. He's produced three goals, one helper, six shots on net, three hits, four blocked shots and a minus-2 rating. That's roughly a 40-point pace, which is in the range of normal outcomes for Mangiapane.

Draisaitl answered four consecutive Canadiens goals with his tally at 11:19 of the third period, which sparked theOilers' comeback effort. The 29-year-old has scored five times and added two assists over eight games this season, with four of his seven points coming on the power play. He's contributed 20 shots on net, four hits and a minus-1 rating while seeing plenty of ice time in all situations. It won't be long before Draisaitl is operating well above a point-per-game pace.

Podkolzin scored a goal, added an assist and logged two hits in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Canadiens.

Podkolzin's goal with 1:09 left in the third period was the game-winner, and it was also his first tally of the season. The 24-year-old is up to four points, eight shots on net, 28 hits, six blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over eight appearances this season. He's been firmly in a third-line role with no power-play time, which will make it tough for the winger to carve out high-end offense. He had 24 points over 82 regular-season outings in a similar role last year.

Nugent-Hopkins scored a goal and dished an assist, both on the power play, in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Canadiens.

Nugent-Hopkins' goal at 12:17 of the third period tied the game at 5-5, and it came just under a minute after he helped out on a Leon Draisaitl marker. This was Nugent-Hopkins' third multi-point effort in eight contests. He's up to five goals, four assists, five power-play points, 15 shots on net and a minus-3 rating. He remains a key part of theOilers' lineup in all situations, and he should continue to be especially productive with the man advantage.

Pickard stopped 22 of 27 shots in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Canadiens.

Pickard was far from his best in this contest, but theOilers were able to pull off a comeback with a three-goal third period. The 33-year-old netminder improved to 2-1-0 on the year, but he's allowed 10 goals on 64 shots, so he has yet to really look comfortable between the pipes. Stuart Skinner has also had some troubles -- expect the Oilers to give both goalies fairly regular time until one can get in a groove. They should each get a start over the weekend with Edmonton set for road games in Seattle on Saturday and in Vancouver on Sunday.

Head coach Kris Knoblauch said Thursday thatHyman (wrist) is targeting a return around Nov. 1, Tom Gazzola of Edmonton Sports Talk reports.

Hyman has been out since the Western Conference Final, as he broke his wrist May 27 and eventually required surgery. Hyman is likely going to play alongside Connor McDavid on the top line upon his return, as McDavid has only one goal and seven assists in seven games, which is considered a slow start for the NHL's top star.
