Avalanche's Martin Necas: Three points against Switzerland
RotowireNecas scored a goal, recorded two assists and fired seven shots on net in Czechia's 4-3 overtime loss to Switzerland in Olympic round-robin play Sunday.
Necas stuffed the stat sheet in Sunday's loss as he assisted on two goals before finding the back of the net himself with just over two minutes remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime. He also fired seven shots on net and should continue to lead Czechia's offense alongside David Pastrnak when bracket play begins. Necas is tied for third in the Olympics with five points.

RotowireLehkonen had a goal and two assists in Team Finland's 11-0 win over Team Italy at the 2026 Winter Olympics on Saturday.
Lehkonen was part of history Saturday. Team Finland had 12 players with multiple points, and that marks the most in a single game by a country at an Olympics with NHL participation. The previous record was eight. Lehkonen arrived at the Olympics on the heels of putting up 42 points, including 19 goals, in 55 games for the Avs this campaign. He's having a career year and is on pace to top 60 points for the first time in his 10-season NHL career.

RotowireHumphreys scored a goal and added two assists in OHL Kitchener's 4-2 win over Kingston on Friday.
Humphreys is up to 21 goals and 70 points through 50 appearances this season. He's earned five goals and five helpers over his last four games, showing a little more of a finishing touch recently. TheAvalanche prospect will be at a pivotal point in his career this offseason -- he has yet to sign his entry-level deal, so he could go to the NCAA, or he could opt to capitalize on his breakout campaign by signing and making the jump to the AHL in 2026-27.
... See More... See LessAvalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Records three points
RotowireMacKinnon recorded a goal and two assists, including one on the power play, in Canada's 5-1 win over Switzerland in the 2026 Winter Olympics on Friday.
MacKinnon set up goals from Macklin Celebrini and Connor McDavid before netting his own in the third period to close out the scoring. MacKinnon has four points in his first two Olympic appearances, a feat that has been accomplished by only two other players so far -- McDavid and Juraj Slafkovsky.

RotowireNecas recorded a power-play goal and an even-strength assist in Czech Republic's 6-3 win over France in the 2026 Winter Olympics on Friday.

... See More... See LessAvalanche's Brock Nelson: Nets two goals against Latvia
RotowireNelson scored two goals and placed three shots on net in the United States' 5-1 win over Latvia in Olympic round-robin play Thursday.
Nelson caught fire in the United States' opening contest for the Olympic tournament with a pair of goals in the second period, which included Thursday's go-ahead goal. The two-goal performance could have been even larger, but he was denied two goals late in the first period due to a ricocheted shot off the post and goalie interference committed by his linemate J.T. Miller. Before the Olympic break, Nelson led the NHL with 15 goals since Dec. 29, and his two-goal effort Thursday proved that his hot hand hasn't disappeared. The 34-year-old center has the potential to steal the show at the Olympics with his current scoring pace across all competitions.
... See More... See LessAvalanche's Martin Necas: Good to go
RotowireNecas (lower body) will be available to play against Canada on Thursday at the 2026 Winter Olympics, per Dominik Dubovci of hokej.cz.
Necas skated on Czechia's top line alongside David Pastrnak and Tomas Hertl during Sunday's practice. The 27-year-old Necas missed Colorado's final three games before the Olympic break, but he will be good to go for the start of the tournament. He has amassed 22 goals, 62 points, 124 shots on net and 57 hits across 52 NHL appearances this season.

RotowireLandeskog (upper body) has been cleared to participate in the Olympics for Team Sweden, Shawn Roarke of NHL.com reports.
After appearing in 41 consecutive games to start the season, Landeskog missed the final 14 games before the Olympic break due to an upper-body injury. Ahcan has eight assists during a five-game point streak. The defenseman is up to five goals, 32 points and a plus-20 rating over 34 outings this season. He's received some call-ups to theAvalanche in 2025-26 as well, earning two assists over nine contests. Ahcan has typically been the first blueliner to be recalled when the NHL roster is at less than full strength on defense.
... See More... See LessAvalanche's Wyatt Aamodt: Three-point game for Eagles
RotowireAamodt scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Colorado's 6-2 win over Chicago on Saturday.
Aamodt had gone 12 games without a goal, picking up just three assists in that span. The defenseman is now at three goals and a career-best 19 points in just 44 contests, which is progress despite his still-modest scoring numbers. Unless theAvalanche's defense gets severely depleted by injuries, Aamodt is likely to stay in the AHL.

RotowireHumphreys scored three power-play goals and added an assist in OHL Kitchener's 6-2 win over Guelph on Friday.
With the performance, Humphreys is now at 64 points in 47 appearances for this season. He's added 113 shots on net and a plus-15 rating as well. MacKinnon's first assist was the 700th in his career. He's earned five points over his last five outings, and he's up to 40 goals, 53 assists, 244 shots on net, 45 hits, 29 blocked shots, and a plus-48 rating over 55 appearances.

Manson went 11 games without a goal after posting two goals and two assists versus the Senators on Jan. 8. He had four assists in that span before snapping the goal drought with the game-winner Wednesday. The veteran defenseman is up to five goals, 24 points, 87 shots on net, 129 hits, 76 blocked shots, 64 PIM and a plus-37 rating over 55 appearances. While he lacks power-play production, Manson has been excellent in every other area this season as he benefits from playing on a high-scoring team.
... See More... See LessAvalanche's Brock Nelson: Pots empty-netter Wednesday
RotowireNelson scored an empty-net goal on five shots and added two PIM in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Sharks.
Nelson produced 15 goals and nine assists over 19 games between the holiday break and the Olympic break. RotowireLehkonen scored two goals and took five shots in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Sharks.
Lehkonen found the back of the net for the first time since Jan. 21, and this was the first time he scored two goals in a single game since Nov. 9. The 30-year-old winger should have plenty of opportunities to produce as long as he continues to skate in the same line as Nathan MacKinnon. Lehkonen has been productive with 42 points (19 goals, 23 assists) in 55 contests so far this season.

RotowireBlackwood stopped 23 of 25 shots in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Sharks.

Despite going 3-4-0 over his last seven starts, Blackwood has allowed two or fewer goals in four of his last five appearances while posting a 1.42 GAA and a .947 save percentage over that stretch.
... See More... See LessAvalanche's Taylor Makar: Sent back down Thursday
