Heat's Kasparas Jakucionis: Remains out for Sunday
RotowireJakucionis (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Knicks, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Jakucionis has yet to make his rookie debut during the 2025-26 campaign. He'll miss a third straight game due to a groin issue. The next chance for him to suit up will be Tuesday against the Hornets.

RotowireJovic ended with 20 points (6-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 27 minutes during Friday's 146-114 win over Memphis.
Jovic shifted to the bench, making way for Kel'el Ware, who was elevated to starting center. Despite the move, Jovic delivered an encouraging performance, ending as one of twoHeat players to score at least 20 points. It appears as though the starting lineup could change depending on the matchup, with Jovic and Ware likely to be the interchangeable pieces. With that said, he should be rostered in most leagues, given his playing time should be relatively consistent.
... See More... See LessHeat's Dru Smith: Strong two-way performance
RotowireSmith had 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists, one block and three steals across 21 minutes during Friday's 146-114 victory over Memphis.
Smith tallied four combined steals and blocks, playing a handful of extra minutes as theHeat blew out the Grizzlies. Prior to his season-ending injury last season, Smith was building some nice momentum as a 3-and-D player for the Heat. While his nightly role remains unclear at this stage, he is certainly worth monitoring, in case his play forces changes to the rotation.
... See More... See LessHeat's Kel'el Ware: Flirts with double-double in start
RotowireWare ended with 19 points (8-12 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 23 minutes during Friday's 146-114 victory over Memphis.
Ware moved back into the starting lineup, falling one rebound short of a double-double. While this was an encouraging performance, it could have been even better had the game been remotely close. It appears as though theHeat's starting lineup could differ from one night to the next, depending on the opponent. With that said, Ware should be able to do enough, whether starting or coming off the bench, to maintain fantasy value, even in standard leagues.
... See More... See LessHeat's Nikola Jovic: Bench role Friday
RotowireJovic will come off the bench during Friday's game against the Grizzlies.
Jovic was in the starting lineup for the season opener against the Magic. However, he'll retreat to the bench in favor of Kel'el Ware for this matchup in Memphis.
... See More... See LessHeat's Kel'el Ware: Will start vs. Memphis
RotowireWare will be in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Grizzlies.
Ware played only 14 minutes off the bench during the team's season opener against the Magic and didn't make much of an impact during that short time on the floor. He'll be joined by Davion Mitchell, Norman Powell, Andrew Wiggins and Bam Adebayo in the first five.

CBS Sports Jordan DajaniHeat's Kasparas Jakucionis: Won't play vs. Memphis
RotowireJakucionis (groin) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Grizzlies, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.
Jakucionis will miss a second straight game to start the 2025-26 campaign. Dru Smith will likely see more time on the floor. The next chance for Jakucionis to return to the floor will be Sunday against the Knicks.
... See More... See LessHeat's Kel'el Ware: Eased back into action Wednesday
RotowireWare (neck/ankle) racked up seven points (3-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt), four rebounds, one block and one steal over 14 minutes during Wednesday's 125-121 loss to Orlando.
While Ware was able to play through neck spasms and an ankle sprain, theHeat decided to ease him back into the lineup by deploying him from the bench. Nikola Jovic started at power forward in his place, but the former scored just nine points in 23 minutes of action. Ware was a popular breakout candidate for 2025-26 after a strong rookie campaign, and it shouldn't be long before he supplants Jovic in Miami's first unit.

CBS Sports Robby KallandHeat's Terry Rozier: Placed on leave
RotowireThe NBA placedRozier on immediate leave from theHeat on Thursday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
Rozier was arrested Thursday morning as part of an FBI sports betting probe, and the NBA is acting quickly while this investigation gets underway. As of now, there is no known timetable for Rozier's potential return, as this could be a lengthy process.
... See More... See LessHeat's Simone Fontecchio: Drops 14 off bench in loss
RotowireFontecchio put up 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds and an assist across 19 minutes in Wednesday's 125-121 loss to Orlando.
Fontecchio led the second unit in shot attempts and tied with Jaime Jaquez for pacing bench players in points and field goals made, despite playing 11 fewer minutes. Fontecchio will be an important piece within Miami's rotation moving forward, so fantasy managers should keep an eye on him as the season progresses.
... See More... See LessHeat's Jaime Jaquez: Efficient in season opener
RotowireJaquez amassed 13 points (6-7 FG, 0-1 3 Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, two steals and an assist over 30 minutes in Wednesday's 125-121 loss to Orlando.
Jaquez led all bench players in minutes and rebounds, and tied with Simone Fontecchio to pace the rest of the second unit in scoring. He also played seven more minutes than starter Nikola Jovic, indicating that despite not starting, Jaquez still has a vital role within the team moving forward.
... See More... See LessHeat's Terry Rozier: Arrested in gambling probe
RotowireRozier was arrested Thursday morning as part of an FBI sports betting gambling probe, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Rozier was available for Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Magic, but he wasn't part of Miami's rotation. In January, Rozier was put under federal investigation for potentially cooperating in an illegal sports betting scheme in 2023 while with the Hornets. The NBA announced that it conducted an investigation but did not find a violation of its rules, and the case was referred to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Rozier is in the final season of a four-year, $96.3 million contract he reached with the Hornets ahead of the 2021-22 season, but his status moving forward remains unclear. Jontay Porter received a lifetime ban in April of 2024 for violating the league's gaming rules.
