Smart is dealing with back spasms, which puts him in jeopardy of missing Friday's game. He has played a key role for theLakers both in a bench role and as a starter this season, and his absence would open the door for more minutes for the likes of Dalton Knecht, Gabe Vincent and Jake LaRavia. Across 10 games since Nov. 2, Smart has averaged 9.5 points, 3.1 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 steals over 26.7 minutes per game.

Ayton (knee) is listed as probable for Friday's game against the Mavericks, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.

Ayton has missed theLakers' last two games due to a right knee contusion. It appears the eighth-year center is on track to play Friday, and Ayton's return would likely send Jaxson Hayes back to the bench. Across nine games in November, Ayton has averaged 16.0 points on 74.7 percent shooting, 8.8 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.9 blocks and 0.9 steals over 27.8 minutes per game.

Hachimura ended Tuesday's 135-118 win over the Clippers with 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and three rebounds over 31 minutes.

Hachimura has cooled off offensively as of late, failing to eclipse the 15-point mark since Nov. 10, but he has shot the ball well all season, averaging 14.9 points and 1.8 threes on a blistering 56.8 percent from the field and 48.3 percent from three. TheLakers have shown they will call on him to produce when their top offensive playmakers are unavailable. However, even with everyone healthy, Hachimura still has standalone fantasy value and should be rostered in most formats.

Smart had seven points (3-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal over 20 minutes during Tuesday's 135-118 victory over the Clippers.

Ever since being relegated back to the bench due to LeBron James' return, Smart has seen his fantasy value take a dip, as he averages 11.1 points, 4.0 assists, 2.9 rebounds, 2.3 steals, 0.2 blocks and 1.2 threes across 31.0 minutes in his nine starts but averages just 6.0 points, 1.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.4 blocks and 1.0 threes across 19.6 minutes off the bench. Smart is still a valuable piece in theLakers' rotation, so he is definitely worth monitoring should an injury cause him to be inserted back in the starting lineup.

LaRavia notched four points (2-2 FG), one rebound and one steal in 17 minutes during Tuesday's 135-118 win over the Clippers.

LaRavia has been reliable when called upon, but Tuesday was not one of those nights as he attempted two field goals and played 17 minutes. When LaRavia plays at least 23 minutes, he averages 11.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.2 blocks and 1.3 threes, but with LeBron James back in the mix, the former will likely no longer see the court for that long on a nightly basis.

James closed with 25 points (9-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 135-118 victory over the Clippers.

The 25 points represented James' best output in three games since making his belated season debut. The future Hall of Famer is averaging 17.7 points, 8.7 assists, 5.0 boards, 1.3 threes and 1.0 steals in 32.0 minutes a game so far, and while theLakers will be cautious with the 40-year-old's workload, James is still more than capable of posting strong numbers when he's on the court.

Reaves recorded 31 points (11-16 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 7-7 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and three steals over 35 minutes during Tuesday's 135-118 win over the Clippers.

The fifth-year guard just missed recording his second straight double-double and sixth of the season, producing at least 25 points for the 10th time in 14 games on the campaign. In seven contests since returning from a groin strain, Reaves is averaging 24.6 points, 6.3 boards, 4.7 assists, 1.9 threes and 1.4 steals while shooting 50.9 percent from the floor.

Doncic closed with 43 points (14-28 FG, 7-12 3Pt, 8-11 FT), nine rebounds, 13 assists, one block and one steal across 38 minutes during Tuesday's 135-118 win over the Clippers.

It was the 51st time in his career that Doncic had scored at least 40 points in a game, and he came within one board of his 10th career 40-point triple-double. The 26-year-old superstar instead had to settle for his 10th double-double of the season in 13 games. Doncic has delivered at least 30 points in four straight games and six of his last nine, averaging 32.4 points, 9.7 assists, 7.6 boards, 3.8 threes and 2.2 steals over the latter stretch.

Hayes is in theLakers' starting lineup against the Clippers on Tuesday, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports.

Hayes will make his second start of the regular season Tuesday in the absence of Deandre Ayton (knee). In his first start Nov. 2 against the Heat, Hayes finished with 15 points (7-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block over 32 minutes. The seventh-year center will be a lob threat for the Lakers while sharing the floor with Luka Doncic, LeBron James and Austin Reaves.

Los Angeles recalledJames from the G League's South BayLakers on Tuesday, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.

The Lakers face the Clippers on Tuesday night, so James is being called up to provide emergency depth in the backcourt.

Timme signed a two-way contract with theLakers on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Timme began the 2025-26 season in the G League with the South Bay Lakers, averaging 25.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.2 steals in his first six appearances. He'll serve as a strong depth option at center, though it's unlikely he'll see regular minutes at the NBA level.

James ended Sunday's 108-106 victory over Utah with 17 points (8-18 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, eight assists and one steal over 34 minutes.

After attempting just seven shots in his season debut Tuesday, James saw his volume get back to normal in his first road game. The future Hall of Famer played at least 30 minutes in both contests, but the next real test for James' workload will come next week, when theLakers play back-to-back games at home Sunday against the Mavs and Monday against the Pelicans. So far, however, the sciatica that delayed the start of his record-setting 23rd NBA campaign hasn't flared back up.

Reaves posted 22 points (7-17 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and one steal over 40 minutes during Sunday's 108-106 win over the Jazz.

The double-double was his fifth of the season and second involving rebounds instead of assists. Reaves has scored more than 20 points in five of six starts since returning from a three-game absence due to a groin strain, averaging 23.5 points, 5.8 boards, 5.0 assists, 1.8 threes and 1.2 steals over that stretch despite shooting just 26.2 percent from long distance. The return of LeBron James has not significantly impacted Reaves' usage.
