CBS Sports Chris TowersRockies' Antonio Senzatela: Will stay in bullpen next season
RotowireTheRockies plan to keepSenzatela in a relief role next season, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Senzatela was moved from the rotation to the bullpen in late August after posting a 7.15 ERA and 61:42 K:BB over 112 innings. He was better in a long-relief role with a 3.50 ERA and 12:5 K:BB across 18 frames. The Rockies aren't chock full of rotation options, but they appear content to leave Senzatela in a low-leverage role in the final season of his five-year, $50.5 million contract.

CBS Sports Kate FeldmanRockies' McCade Brown: Falls to Giants
RotowireBrown (0-5) took the loss Sunday against San Francisco, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks across three innings. He struck out two.
Both runs charged to Brown came via the long ball -- he gave up a solo shot to Willy Adames to lead off the game before Rafael Devers led off the fourth with another homer. It's a tough way to finish the season for Brown, who allowed one run while striking out 10 in his last time out against the Mariners. Overall, Brown posted a 7.36 ERA with a 1.83 WHIP and 23:11 K:BB across 25.2 innings in his first seven major-league starts.

RotowireMoniak is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
TheRockies haven't announced that Moniak is dealing with an injury, but he'll nonetheless close out the season with three consecutive absences from the lineup. Yanquiel Fernandez will draw another start in right field in place of Moniak, who has compiled a .270 batting average with 24 home runs, nine stolen bases, 68 RBI and 62 runs in 135 games on the campaign.

RotowireFreeman (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Freeman is out of the starting nine for a sixth straight contest to close out the regular season while he manages a sore back. Assuming he doesn't enter the contest off the bench, Freeman will finish the season with a .281/.354/.361 slash line, two home runs, 18 stolen bases, 31 RBI and 50 runs scored across 428 plate appearances.

RotowireBeck went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Saturday against the Giants.
Beck delivered his 16th long ball of the season in the ninth inning, and his first since Sept. 6. After a strong first half, his power has evaporated in the final couple of months, as he entered Saturday's game having just a .118 ISO across 243 plate appearances in the second half. Beck has still put together a solid season, hitting .260 with 19 stolen bases across 147 games.

RotowireGoodman went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run Saturday against the Giants.
Goodman went yard in the first inning to deliver his 31st homer of the season, five which have come in September. He's hit .292 with 15 RBI and 10 runs scored across 23 games for the month, ending his breakout campaign in strong form.

RotowireDoyle went 2-for-3 with a double and a solo home run during theRockies' 4-3 loss to the Giants on Saturday.
Doyle gave the Rockies a two-run lead in the second inning with a solo shot off Justin Verlander. It was Doyle's 15th home run of the season but his first since Aug. 23 against the Pirates. He has struggled at the plate since Sept. 1 with a .432 OPS, two steals and four RBI in 23 strikeouts across 78 plate appearances.

RotowireFreeland (5-17) took the loss against the Giants on Saturday, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out four across six innings.
It was a tough loss for Freeland, whose lone (but crucial) blemish came in the third inning, when he yielded a three-run homer to Casey Schmitt. Freeland will end the season with 17 losses, which is the most of his career and would lead the majors at the end of the season unless the Nationals' Mitchell Parker (9-16) were to take a loss out of the bullpen. Freeland will end the 2025 season with a 4.98 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 124:38 K:BB across 162.2 innings.

RotowireMoniak is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against San Francisco.
Moniak is on the bench for a second straight game, yielding to Yanquiel Fernandez in right field. Moniak is 15-for-43 (.349) with five home runs in his last 11 games.
