- Tyreek Hill MIA WR
Tyreek Hill: Vows to continue playing career
2h agoHill (knee) announced Monday via his personal Instagram account that he plans to continue his playing career, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Hill suffered a gruesome knee injury in Week 4 of last season and required surgery to repair a dislocated knee and multiple torn ligaments. Afterward, Hill suggested he would have to contemplate whether to continue his playing career. He seems to have made a decision and will return to game action, though it's unclear when he'll be 100 percent healthy. Turning 32 years old in 13 days, Hill was released by the Dolphins on Monday and is eligible to sign elsewhere immediately. Interested teams will obviously need to do extensive medical checks on the veteran wideout.
- Ronnie Hickman CLE SAF
Browns' Ronnie Hickman: Suffers minor injuries from assault
4h agoIn a statement released by theBrowns on Monday, the team announcedHickman was the victim of an assault early Monday morning and was treated for minor injuries at a New York City hospital, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
Hickman has already been released from the hospital and is at home recovering, the Browns added in their statement. It doesn't sound like the safety is dealing with anything serious. Hickman started all 17 regular-season games for Cleveland during the 2025 campaign and finished with a career-high 103 tackles (51 solo) and seven pass breakups, including two interceptions.
- James Daniels MIA G
James Daniels: Tenure in Miami ends
5h agoThe Dolphins are releasingDaniels (pectoral) on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Daniels inked a three-year deal with Miami last offseason, but a pectoral injury limited him to just three total offensive snaps with the team in 2025. The veteran guard previously missed most of the 2024 campaign with Pittsburgh due to an Achilles tear, so even if he's now considered healthy, any suitors in free agency will want to be mindful of potential durability concerns.
- Nick Westbrook-Ikhine MIA WR
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine: Let go by Miami
5h agoThe Dolphins releasedWestbrook-Ikhine on Monday.
Westbrook-Ikhine logged an impressive 2024 campaign with the Titans, totaling a 32-497-9 line while playing all 17 regular-season games, but across 15 regular-season appearances with the Dolphins in 2025 he secured just 11 of 20 targets for 89 scoreless yards. The veteran wideout, who will turn 29 in March, will now look for a chance to compete for a depth role elsewhere in the league.
- DeeJay Dallas JAC RB
Jaguars' DeeJay Dallas: Re-ups with Jags
6h agoJacksonville re-signedDallas on Monday.
Dallas appeared in six total regular-season games between Carolina and Jacksonville in 2025, in which span he rushed twice for 21 yards and failed to secure his only target. He also logged 12 kickoff returns for 321 yards. Dallas ended the 2025 campaign on theJaguars' roster but he was made a healthy scratch for the team's sole postseason contest, a wild-card round loss to the Bills. If the Jaguars opt to let Travis Etienne depart as a free agent this offseason, Dallas could find himself competing for an interesting depth role.
- Bradley Chubb MIA OLB
Bradley Chubb: Let go by Miami
7h agoThe Dolphins are releasingChubb on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Chubb is among a number of key veterans being cut by Miami on Monday in an effort to balance the team's salary cap. The veteran pass rusher, who will turn 30 in June, has been steady over the last two seasons, having totaled 19.5 sacks in that span while only missing one regular-season game. He should have little difficulty finding a starting role elsewhere in the league.
- Jack Perkins ATH P
Athletics' Jack Perkins: Role undetermined
9m agoAthletics manager Mark Kotsay said last week thatPerkins (shoulder) will enter camp as a starting pitcher, but the team has yet to decide whether he'll be a starter or reliever in 2026, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
"He's a weapon that we have yet to determine the path," Kotsay said. Perkins was much more effective as a reliever (2.75 ERA, 24.7 percent strikeout rate) than as a starter (5.68 ERA, 21.4 percent strikeout rate) during his time with the Athletics last season, but the 26-year-old is one of the A's better young arms so the team doesn't want to relegate him to a relief role just yet. The right-handed Perkins ended last season on the injured list with a right shoulder strain, and it's not clear if he has any restrictions at the start of camp.
- Isiah Kiner-Falefa TOR 2B
Red Sox's Isiah Kiner-Falefa: Gettings reps at first
24m agoKiner-Falefa is getting work at first base early in spring training due to the absences of Triston Casas (knee) and Romy Gonzalez (shoulder), Sean McAdam of Masslive.com reports.
Casas continues to recover from major knee surgery last May, and Gonzalez has been shelved since September due to a left shoulder injury. Kiner-Falefa has typically served at second base, third and shortstop during his major-league career, but the veteran utility man could get some looks at first during spring training and early in the regular season behind Willson Contreras.
- Tanner Houck BOS SP
Red Sox's Tanner Houck: Begins throwing program
28m agoHouck (elbow) began a throwing program Monday with 25 throws from 45 feet, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.
It's the first time he's thrown a baseball since he underwent a UCL reconstruction and flexor tendon repair six months ago. Houck will continue a deliberate rehab process over the next several months and hopes to make a late-season return, but it's likely theRed Sox will hold him back until 2027.
- Tyler Callihan CIN 2B
Reds' Tyler Callihan: Fully cleared
39m agoCallihan (forearm) has been fully cleared for all baseball activities and is a full-go in spring training, Charlie Goldsmith of The Dayton Daily News reports.
Callihan has had an incredibly unlucky professional career when it comes to his health, the latest being in May 2025 when he snapped his forearm trying to make a sliding catch in Atlanta. He's got an uphill battle to make the team out of spring training, lining up behind Will Benson and JJ Bleday as left-handed hitting corner outfielders.
- Eugenio Suarez CIN 3B
Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Taking first base reps
44m agoSuarez is taking reps at first base to start each day of spring training, Charlie Goldsmith of The Dayton Daily News reports. "I'm a guy who likes work," Suarez said. "I want to be better at first base. I know they're going to need me there."
Suarez is still likely to get most of his starts as theReds' designated hitter, with Ke'Bryan Hayes starting at third base and either Sal Stewart or Spencer Steer playing first base, but every bit of flexibility helps. Suarez played the first three games at first base of his major league career last season.
- Seth Halvorsen COL P
Rockies' Seth Halvorsen: Faces hitters Monday
2h agoHalvorsen (elbow) tossed a live batting practice session Monday.
Halvorsen looks to be free of restrictions in the opening weeks of spring training after he didn't pitch after Aug. 2 last season due to a mild right elbow flexor strain. Prior to getting injured, Halvorsen had seemingly established himself as theRockies' preferred closer, though his numbers (4.99 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, 36:21 K:BB, 11 saves in 14 chances over 39.2 innings) weren't overly remarkable. Even so, Halvorsen still looks like one of the best bets for saves in Colorado entering 2026, given his raw abilities along with the lack of reliable alternatives in the Rockies bullpen. Halvorsen ranked third in the majors with an average fastball velocity of 100.0 miles per hour, and his 13.1 percent swinging-strike rate and 54.4 percent groundball rate offer hope that he'll be able to raise his strikeout rate and improve his ERA and WHIP.
- Jabari Walker PHI PF
76ers' Jabari Walker: Inking standard deal with 76ers
18m agoWalker is signing a two-year contract with the76ers on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Walker has played the maximum number of games on his two-way deal, and Philadelphia has since decided to bring the forward back on a new standard pact. He'll be competing with Justin Edwards and Trendon Watford for frontcourt minutes off the bench going forward. On the campaign with Philadelphia, Walker has averaged 3.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 12.1 minutes per contest over 45 games.
- Keshon Gilbert WAS PG
Keshon Gilbert: Heads back to open market
7h agoGilbert became a free agent Monday after his 10-day contract with the Wizards expired, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Prior to signing his 10-day pact with Washington on Feb. 6, Gilbert had been playing for the Wizards' G League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go. The Wizards will have the option of retaining Gilbert on a second 10-day deal, but he'll likely stick around in the organization as a member of the Go-Go if he doesn't end up getting re-signed ahead of Washington's next game Thursday versus Indiana. The undrafted rookie out of Iowa State appeared in three games for Washington over the course of his deal, averaging 2.0 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, 1.0 assists and 0.7 steals in 16.0 minutes while shooting 1-for-4 from the field and 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.
- Giannis Antetokounmpo MIL PF
Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo: Deems self '100 percent'
9h agoAntetokounmpo (calf) said Saturday that he feels "100 percent" healthy, though he didn't confirm that he'll be cleared to play in theBucks' next game Friday in New Orleans. "I feel like the [All-Star] break doesn't help, because now I gotta get on the court, I gotta play some 1-on-1, 3-on-3, 5 vs. 5...Once I check all those boxes, I'm ready to go. I feel like I can play a game today."
Antetokounmpo has sat out the Bucks' last nine games after straining his right calf for the second time this season Jan. 23, but he told the media Saturday that his rehab is going well and suggested that he could be nearing a return. Though Milwaukee listened to trade offers on Antetokounmpo leading up to the Feb. 5 deadline, the 10-time All-Star ultimately stayed put and isn't expected to be shut down even while the 23-30 Bucks currently sit outside of a spot in the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament. Based on his comments, Antetokounmpo appears poised to take part in practice in some capacity this week when the Bucks reconvene following the All-Star break. Even if he isn't cleared to play Friday, Antetokounmpo would still appear likely to make it back in action before the end of February.
- Pascal Siakam IND PF
Pacers' Pascal Siakam: Posts 10 points at All-Star weekend
9h agoSiakam (hamstring) played 18 minutes Sunday at All-Star weekend in Los Angeles between Team World's losses to Team Stars and Team Stripes, finishing with 10 points (5-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds and two assists.
After coming off the bench in a 37-35 overtime loss to Team Stars in Team World's first contest of the round-robin tournament, Siakam entered the starting five for the second matchup of the day while Luka Doncic was rested after Doncic had missed the Lakers' last four games before the break due to a hamstring strain. Siakam -- who had missed thePacers' most recent game Wednesday versus the Nets due to a sore hamstring -- went a perfect 3-for-3 from the field during his start, but Team World was eliminated after falling 48-45 to Team Stripes. Though the hamstring isn't expected to be an issue for Siakam moving forward, he could still be in line for a rest day coming out of the All-Star break. The Pacers will open their second-half schedule with a Thursday/Friday back-to-back set in Washington.
- Deni Avdija POR SG
Trail Blazers' Deni Avdija: Limited output in All-Star debut
9h agoAvdija (back) played 15 minutes Sunday at All-Star weekend in Los Angeles between Team World's losses to Team Stars and Team Stripes, finishing with five points (2-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt), four assists and one rebound.
Avdija had missed theTrail Blazers' most recent game Thursday against the Jazz due to lower-back injury management, but the issue didn't prevent him from making his first career All-Star appearance. The 25-year-old forward started in both games for Team World but saw light usage while the offense ran through the Spurs' Victor Wembanyama. While playing in just six of the Trail Blazers' final 16 games prior to the All-Star break, Avdija had eclipsed 30 minutes on just one occasion. However, with some extra time to recover during the break, Avdija could have his minutes restriction lifted ahead of Portland's next game Friday versus the Nuggets.
- Devin Booker PHO SG
Suns' Devin Booker: Plays supporting role Sunday
9h agoBooker logged 28 total minutes Sunday across Team Stars' three games at All-Star weekend in Los Angeles, finishing with 12 points (5-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt), nine rebounds and eight assists.
Booker started in all three games for the Stars, recording no more than five points in any contest while taking a back seat to backcourt mate and MVP Anthony Edwards (32 points on 13-for-22 shooting). Prior to All-Star weekend, Booker had missed theSuns' most recent game Wednesday versus the Thunder due to right ankle injury management, but he should be good to go for Phoenix's first contest of the second half Thursday in San Antonio.

His extension will keep him under contract with Carolina through the 2028-29 season.

Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Beaten once Sunday
7h agoHellebuyck stopped 23 of 24 shots in the United States' 5-1 win over Germany on Sunday in the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Hellebuyck made 17 saves in the 5-1 win over Latvia on Thursday and posted another impressive effort this time against Germany. Expect theJets' netminder to remain the No. 1 option for Team USA in the knockout stages.
- Matthew Tkachuk FLA LW
Panthers' Matthew Tkachuk: Two assists vs. Germany
7h agoTkachuk had two assists, including one on the power play, in the United States' 5-1 win over Germany on Sunday in the 2026 Olympics.
