TheMarvel Universe is chock-full of monsters, and it has been since the very beginning. Spectacles like building-sized lizards smashing up Manhattan paved the way for superhero fights back whenGodzilla was Marvel’s King of Monsters.
Now that a newMonsterVerse is established, it’s fun to see how certain Marvel monsters might stack up against new titans. Most of the pulp-age D-listers would get their butts kicked and either die or fall in line, but some of Marvel’s mightiest creatures could have a real shot at taking over the whole MonsterVerse.

10 Marvel Heroes Who Could Challenge Godzilla
Godzilla vs. Marvel will feature an epic showdown between the iconic kaiju and Marvel heroes who can challenge the legendary King of the Monsters.
10 The Fin Fang Four Are Goofballs
The Fin Fang Four are a team like no other. Led by the immortal, shapeshifting alien dragon Fin Fang Foom, they are a team of monsters assembled mostly for goofs. Foom, however, is formidable on his own, and with a team of giant monsters on his side, he could mount a takeover of the MonsterVerse. Googam, Gorgilla, and Elektro are his backups, representing Marvel’s pulp monster golden years and the might of such goofy creatures.
The C-List monsters of the Fin Fang Four were intimidating in their time, but they’re relics now. Godzilla’s city-flattening stature makes the pulp icons look like children’s playthings, but together, they could still stand a chance. Gorgilla is a big monkey, one of Godzilla’s most common obstacles; Elektro is vaguely like Mecha G, and Googam is the son of the mighty Goom! If they could recruit a few Titans to their side and perhaps a few more Marvel Monsters, the Four could absolutely rule the MonsterVerse.
9 Mole Man Commands Massive Armies

The Mole Man has an army of monsters at his beck and call. If his millions of moloids weren’t enough to overrun the territories of Earth’s hidden Kaiju, he could call out the big guns like Giganto and his ant monsters to do battle with the big boys until an opportunity arose.
Harvey’s greatest strength is his ability to bond with subterranean creatures. He could probably make a good impression with lesser Kaiju to amass a new and improved army before staking his claim over the MonsterVerse. It would be a gnarly battle, and it could end with Harvey sitting on an oversized throne at the center of the Earth while his new Kaiju friends prepare to take back the surface.
8 Groot Is A Flora Colossus

The Flora Colossi of Planet X have extraordinary abilities.Groot is the most popular example with Marvel fans, and his greatest feats show how easily he could take over the MonsterVerse. Groot becomes a true monster whenever he goes full Kaiju, growing to incredible sizes and tapping into his plant-like powers to take over areas and change his form.

10 Marvel Villains Who Could Challenge Godzilla
Godzilla may be the King of the Monsters, but the House of Ideas has several powerful villains who might want to either destroy or join the kaiju.
Grootfall occurred when the Guardian of the Galaxy spread his roots on a planetary scale. He single-handedly resurrected dead worlds and nearly lost himself in the process, and he could do the same to the Earth if he sided with the MonsterVerse. Groot’s people are of a conquering sort, and Godzilla and his constituents are usually portrayed as beasts seeking to reclaim the Earth. Groot could lead them to victory, or he could be the Earth’s greatest defense.
7 Venom Commands Symbiote Monsters

Venom - especially the All-New version - would argue that they are not a monster, but symbiotes are pretty standard alien invaders. They eat brains and hunk themselves into people's respiratory and nervous systems to pilot them as meat puppets, except for the few who just want to bond with their hosts. The symbiote wars threatened all of the cosmos, and the King in Black was prepared for future incursions.
The Venom Symbiote is hard to kill and likes to leave scraps behind to bond with new people until Eddie resurrects. If the symbiote landed in the MonsterVerse, it might be lucky enough to bond with the King of Monsters himself, giving Godzilla even more of an advantage over other titans seeking dominance. It might have to work its way up to the king, but the Venom symbiote would take over the MonsterVerse by simply overtaking its leader.
6 Hulks Beat Up Monsters

The Hulk is the strongest there is, and he relishes opportunities to prove that without fighting innocent people and friends that he likes. He’s traveled the depths of the cosmos and grappled with horrors untold, and even his teenage egg-headed replacement, The Totally Awesome Hulk, regularly took out city-stomping Kaiju like it was trash night, even dealing with their self-appointed Queen.
The Hulk and Godzilla will face off, but as long as Hulk keeps getting angry, he has no limits. He’ll absorb Godzilla’s radiation breath and send the King of Monsters back to the bottom of the ocean or whatever ancient hole he slithered out of. If Godzilla or any other titans rise and manage to incapacitate or kill Hulk, he’ll come back different and try again until he succeeds. Multiple futures show versions of the Hulk as some of the last beings alive at the end of everything. Respectfully, the MonsterVerse doesn’t stand a chance.
5 The Mangog Is Fueled By Rage
The Mangog is a pretty gnarly concept. Born of the rage of slaughtered billions, it draws from Norse monsters but is a beast all its own. It was a match for anything shy of the Odinforce, beating powerful Asgardian warriors, crushing artifacts, and standing up to the Destroyer in its hateful quest for vengeance. Mangog’s magic is a huge advantage over the biology-based beasts of the MonsterVerse.

10 DC Heroes Who Could Challenge Godzilla
The Justice League isn't new to the MonsterVerse, though there are a few other DC heroes like Captain Atom and Plastic Man who could take on Godzilla.
If the Mangog went up against a version of Godzilla who was angry with humanity, that anger would probably only make the Mangog stronger. The building-sized bruiser is a foe of the All-Father, so a huge lizard with an energy breath would be a walk in the park. It might struggle to hold off all the Kaiju of the MonsterVerse at once, but taken one at a time, it could dispatch lesser monsters and appeal to the rage of the heavy hitters to align themselves against humanity and their wrathful, murderous gods.
4 The Hypno-Beast Can Get Even Bigger

The Hypno-Creature is pretty self-explanatory, but the lore of its introduction to the Earth-616 is strange. The beast originated in the so-called Dimension of Doom, home of the 2D Men. It starts small, but particular chemicals cause it to become a full-scale Kaiju. In any form, the Hypno Creature can emit its eye beams, and it’s able to affect more people with bigger eyes.
The Hypno-Creature’s biggest weakness is its susceptibility to its own powers. Godzilla isn’t known for carrying mirrors or subtle combat tactics, and he also doesn’t grow in special gas. If the Hypno Creature could take control of the King of Monsters, he could usurp the crown to dominate the MonsterVerse and unleash a hypnotized monster army on the Earth, just like the 2D Men from the Dimension of Doom always wanted.
3 Elsa Bloodstone's Bloodgem Commands Monsters

Ulysses Bloodstone was the brave monster hunter who cataloged most of Marvel’s monsters in the 19th and 20th centuries. After his death, the artifact for which he was named passed to his daughter, Elsa. With the bloodstone, Elsa has powers similar to a vampire, including immortality and the ability to communicate with and possibly control monsters. She's fearless and brutal but can be persuaded to see reason if monsters are willing and able to try.
The Bloodgem originally came from Conan’s Hyborian age, when all manner of strange monsters walked the Earth. Alongside her Legion of Monsters, Elsa could probably find a happy middle ground with the titans of the MonsterVerse if she weren't blinded by murderous rage. Her group reluctantly helps humanity so monsters can be safe to hide in the shadows, and the Legion would be better for Kaiju than Monarch regarding treatment and the ability to understand each other.
2 Orrgo Enslaves Worlds

Orrgo the Unconquerable started as an alien supremacist who voluntarily became a homicidal mass of stone with hypnotic powers. He has since had a son, Zrrgo, and created a legacy as one of Marvel’s many D-List monsters, appearing at random intervals over the years to rampage through cities, giving newbies the chance to show off. He eventually joined the Howling Commandos, one of Marvel’s monster-based super teams.

10 DC Villains Who Could Challenge Godzilla
While Godzilla has faced several equally powerful kaiju over the years, there are a few DC villains who might even challenge the King of Monsters.
Orrgo can warp reality with his mental powers, but mind control is his main route to world domination. He’s powerful enough to control the minds of all humanity, so he’d have a chance against the surviving titans around the world. With the strength to match his size and the power to control the surrounding environment with a thought, he is one of the most powerful and underutilized monsters in the Marvel multiverse, and he’d be a serious problem for the MonsterVerse.
1 Kid Kaiju Could Draw The MonsterVerse
Marvel's Kid Kaiju has the inhuman power to call forth monsters from pictures he draws. He's a talented artist and limited only by his imagination, and his powers allow him to summon a wide range of creatures. He can create new, sentient beings from thin air, but he can also control existing monsters.
If Kei can control monsters like the Mangog, he could probably illustrate Kong, Godzilla, or even cosmic threats like Destroyah. If he got bored and drew Biollante or any of Godzilla's wackier foes, he could even combine them into one super monster to take control of the MonsterVerse the old-fashioned way, but simply drawing each kaiju would likely be enough to get them under his command.
