About CBR
CBR was founded in 1995 andacquired by Valnet since 2016. Upon its launch CBR quickly became the go-to source for comics industry news, discussions, and community. Since then, CBR continues to attract a large and engaged readership. Our goal is to provide anyone interested in pop culture, superheroes, and geek entertainment with information and resources that deepen appreciation and investment in their fandoms, including Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Dragon Ball, Lord of the Rings, and more.
Featuring contributors from backgrounds in publishing, journalism, and creative writing, CBR editors, writers, and contributors share one passion: movies, TV, anime, comics, and gaming. Throughout our existence, CBR has had the honor of publishing columns and features from the most recognized names in pop-culture, many of whom have since seen their work adapted to big and small screens. These include Robert Kirkman, whose work inspired AMC's The Walking Dead universe, and Matt Fraction, whose acclaimed Hawkeye run informed the hit Marvel Studios/Disney+ series.
As a leading authority in digital publishing, CBR has earned accolades for excellence in pop culture coverage and hosts several popularpodcasts, providing listeners with in-depth commentary and unique insights into their favorite fandoms.
