Amid the success ofDaredevil: Born Again on Disney+, a second season is currently in development. Many Marvel fans are hoping that the show will bring in Krysten Ritter to reprise her role as Jessica Jones, but there's been no indication at this time that she will be involved.

PerCBS Mornings, Ritter was asked about the possibility of playing Jessica Jones again in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She made it clear how much she still loves the character, reaffirming that she would be happy to reprise the role if asked. The problem, according to Ritter, is that she still has yet to receive that call. While it's not unusual for actors to deny MCU appearances in order to keep them secret, Ritter's comments suggest there are still no plans in place at this time for Jessica Jones to be involved withDaredevil: Born Again.

Jessica Jones, aDaredevil offshoot, originally streamed for three seasons on Netflix between 2014 and 2019. While there had long been some debate over whether the Marvel shows on Netflix were MCU canon, Marvel Studios officially confirmed that they were ahead of the premiere ofDaredevil: Born Again. Jon Bernthal, who also had his ownDaredevil spinoff with two seasons ofThe Punisher, has already made his return inDaredevil: Born Again, though there's no word yet on possible appearances from Ritter's Jessica Jones, Mike Colter's Luke Cage, and Finn Jones' Iron Fist.

Will Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist Return?

"I can't say much, but I'll tell you that it's so exciting to be able to play in that sandbox," Marvel Studios execBrad Winderbaum said in February about possibly bringing back those characters, viaEntertainment Weekly. "Obviously, we don't have the unlimited storytelling resources like a comic book, [where] if you can draw it, you can do it. We're dealing with actors and time and the massive scale of production in order to build a cinematic universe, especially on television. But I can just say that all those variables taken into account, it is certainly something that is creativelyextremely exciting and that we are very much exploring."
