Theisekai genre remains king in the anime world. It's so popular that there are several new series every year, and at this point, they've begun splitting up into hyper-specific sub-genres, as if having anime with the most specific titles wasn't enough. There's the "reincarnated as a" sub-genre, the "I'm a villainess" genre, and more as people try to create their niche and gain a fanbase.

But there are still several isekai manga series that haven't made their way to getting an anime adaptation just yet. Some of these series have been running for years, while others are relatively new. Still, they could all stand to get their own adaptation instead of studios just doing more remakes of existing series.
Updated by Sage Ashford on April 12, 2023: Just like the world of isekai anime, the world of isekai manga is constantly growing. Some series that had gone without adaptations have since received one, while others continue to go without. With that in mind, we've updated this list to reflect the current state of isekai adaptations, adding several new and old isekai manga that have no anime adaptations.

8 Silver Diamond
Story & Art By Shiho Sugiura, 27 Volumes (Complete)

Silver Diamond is a boys' love isekai that started long before isekai was a dominant genre in the anime world and ended just as the isekai genre was growing in popularity. The lead character is Rakan Sawa, a high school student who gets pulled into another world's conflict when he meets Chigusa, a warrior who fights using plant weapons.
Chigusa's interest in Rakan begins when he realizes Rakan has the power to influence plant life. Chigusa brings Rakan back to his own world, hoping Rakan has the ability to bring life back to his world once again. Shojo fans owe it to themselves to at least give this series a shot.
7 The Savior's Book Café Story In Another World
Story By Kyouka Izumi & Art By Reiko Sakurada, 5 Volumes (Complete)

Savior's Book Café Story is an isekai romance with a unique twist: the protagonist doesn't want to be sent to an alternate world. Tsukina Mizumori is living a simple but otherwise tolerable life when she's told she'll have to be the savior of another world by a god.
With no other choice, Tsukina travels to the other world, but rather than setting out to save the world, she starts a bookstore instead. Over time, she makes friends with Il Soeil, a member of the Knight Order, continuing her life as a store owner rather than doing anything to save the world. A simple story that lasted only five volumes, fans who prefer more light-hearted isekai will be more attracted to this series.
6 From Far Away
Story & Art By Kyouko Hikawa, 14 Volumes (Complete)

A series that ran for 14 volumes and an entire decade, it'd be easy to get a lengthy adaptation out of this series. It's an older isekai, so it feels less like the series made today and more along the lines of aclassic shojo anime series likeFushigi Yugi, but that just means it'd feel fresh compared to today's shows.
5 It's Sudden, But I Came to Another World! But I Hope to Live Safely
Story By Antai & Art By Kou Sasamine (Ongoing)

Too often, isekai series are all about omnipotent protagonists who can wipe out anyone who gets in their path. ButIt's Sudden, But I Came to Another World! goes in a different direction. Rather than focusing solely on how impressive the protagonist is, the series spends its early chapters not even offering information about him, like his name or age.
The protagonist is pulled into another world, but he doesn't have any special abilities other than the ability of "comprehension," allowing him to understand whoever he's talking to. He uses this knowledge to work alongside knights to create a peaceful life for himself and those around him.

3 The Ideal Sponger Life
Story By Tsunehiko Watanabe & Art By Neko Hinotsuki (Ongoing)

The Ideal Sponger Life is the kind of series that should've already been turned into an anime series. The protagonist is Zenjirou Yamai, a salaryman who is teleported to another world to live with Queen Aura Capua. Capua wants Zenjirou because she needs an heir, and Zenjirou has a kind of magic that makes him a perfect partner.
While this could be a more relaxing iyashikei sort of anime,Sponger Life isn't afraid to do a bit of character development and worldbuilding. It feels likeHow A Realist Hero Rebuilt The Kingdom, except Aura does most of the rebuilding, while Zenjirou just tries to be useful.
2 Reborn As A Space Mercenary
Story By Ryuto & Art By Shunichi Matsui (Ongoing)

When people think of isekai, they almost always think of some fantasy world. Sometimes, it's high fantasy; sometimes, the alternate world has elements of advanced technology, but it's always fantasy focused.Reborn As A Space Mercenary is one of the rare timesan isekai isn't set in a fantasy world and instead relies on science fiction. The protagonist finds themselves in a world similar to a game they play, gifted with a mighty spaceship.
From there, he begins helping the authorities with an outbreak of space pirates, making money and friends along the way. Not only is this a series that does something different with the isekai formula, but it's another series in the rarely used space sci-fi genre.
