Steps to Implement eBadge TWP
Send an email toeBadge@dhs.cbp.gov to set up with a meeting with CBP HQ eBadge team.
CBP's eBadge team will coordinate a meeting with your organization, TSA, and local CBP management, and your designated aviation channelers (DAC).
Meet with CBP's eBadge team, TSA, local CBP management, and DACs
To discuss eBadge program setup, technical requirements, and implementation.
Work with DACs to identify next steps for implementation depending on your airport's existing Identity Management Systems (IDMS)
Note: an airport that does not use an IDMS can still participate in eBadge.
Airports that currently use an IDMS:
*Should contact their IDMS providers and DACs to verify interface requirements needed to support eBadgeAirports that donot currently use an IDMS:
* DAC portals give airports the ability to indicate of an applicant intends to apply for a CBP seal via eBadge.
* Airports interested in using this service should contact their DAC to discuss the requirementsTest and implement eBadge workflow with CBP HQ and TSA
CBP HQ will continue with local CBP Airport Security Program Office to provide eBadge training prior to the eBadge launch date. Airports will submit CBP seal applications as part of the SIDA badge application process. The Airport Badging Office (ABO) is responsible for submitting the eBadge request, with relevant documentation, through the DAC.
Reminders for Airport
- Participation in eBadge is not mandatory, however it is highly encouraged to facilitate faster issuance of CBP Seals.
- There may be fees associated with eBadge. We recommend airports to contact their DAC to obtain information regarding application fees.
- If you have questions or would like to request eBadge support, please direct questions toeBadge@cbp.dhs.gov
