There was double delight for both Japan and Thailand at the Asian Stand Up Paddling Championships in Hong Kong. 

Kenta Yamada andTakayo Yokoyama enjoyed long distance success for Japan, while the sprint titles were won by Thai paddlersOrawan Kaewseehabut andNatapat Koman. 

A time of 52:09 saw Yamada clinch the men’s long distance crown.  

Ying Lun Ng was the leading Hong Kong paddler, placing second in 53:27, while Thailand’s Koman came third in 54:54. 

The women’s long distance title was won by Yokoyama in 59.34.

Yokoyama was the only paddler to break the one-hour mark as Thailand’s Kaewseehabut clinched silver in 1:02:59 and Hong Kong’sWing Ki Chan secured bronze in 1:07:20. 

Kaewseehabut and Koman claimed the respective women’s and men’s sprint crowns for Thailand. 

Koman took the men’s sprint title in 1:31.06 as Japan’s Yamada came second in 1:32.00 and Thailand’s Watchara Muangkum secured bronze in 1:34.60. 

Kaewseehabut emerged victorious in the women’s sprint in 1:40.24 as Indonesia’s Aurel Faustasyah Febriana claimed silver in 1:40.91 and Japan’s Yokoyama earned bronze in 1:46.42.

There was home success in the men’s technical as Ng triumphed in a time of 3:40.93. Yamada claimed silver in 3:45.05, while Thailand’s Koman earned bronze in 3:54.00. 

Faustasyah Febriana of Indonesia ranked first in the women’s technical with a time of 4:13.15. Thailand’s Kaewseehabut posted 4:43.07 for silver, with Yokoyama clocking 4:27.26 for bronze.
