The release comes as the Justice Department faces a Friday deadline to release the files on the Epstein case as mandated by a recent law.

Epstein gave Harvard $6.5 million in 2003 to help establish Nowak’s Program for Evolutionary Dynamics. After Epstein’s 2008 conviction in Florida for soliciting prostitution involving a minor, Harvard stopped accepting gifts from the financier.
But between 2010 to 2015, Epstein brokered $7.5 million in donations from other wealthy friends for Nowak’s work, according to Harvard’s 2020 report about the university’s ties to Epstein. Lloyd accepted donations from Epstein to support his research and for his personal use and visited Epstein in the Florida jail. Both men were sanctioned by their universities.
