Pentatonix dropped the socially-distanced video for their cover ofBillie Eilish‘s “When the Party’s Over” on Wednesday (July 8).
The somber clip features all five members of the Grammy-winning a capella group performing the pop star’s hit single in black outfits against a simple white background. “Don’t you know I’m no good for you?/ I’ve learned to lose you, can’t afford to/ Tore my shirt to stop you bleedin’/ But nothin’ ever stops you leavin’,” Mitch Grassi sings over harmonies from fellow vocalist Scott Hoying on the ballad’s first verse.
This isn’t the first time Pentatonix has dipped into Eilish’s discography, either. Back in March, the quintet also recorded a cover of the teenager’s 2020 single “Ilomilo” exclusively for WhatsApp using 8D technology.
