Gary serves as Billboard’s New York-based managing director of charts and data operations and plays a significant role in managing the day-to-day operations of the brand’s iconic charts and editorial analysis, while overseeing Billboard’s many songs rankings and directly managing the iconic Billboard Hot 100. Gary joined Billboard in 2006 after more than a decade in radio. He held on-air, programming and/or production roles at stations including WBMX-FM Boston; WSNE-FM Providence, R.I.; and WMVY-FM Martha’s Vineyard/Cape Cod, Mass. At Billboard, he has helmed coverage of the popular Chart Beat column, including the “Ask Billboard” mailbag. He has co-hosted the Hot 100’s top 10 reveal on Facebook and 175 episodes of the Chart Beat Podcast, while his print writing includes a 2014 cover story on Howard Stern. He has also imparted chart information on SiriusXM and NPR. The cat-owned Gary (@gthot20) was born in Boston and graduated from Boston University’s College of Communication.
