The powerhouse theater company at Harvard said Thursday it will produce the world premiere ofWaitress, with music and lyrics by Grammy-nominated Bareilles, starting in August. It will be directed byDiane Paulus, the artistic director, who has also helmed the recent revival ofPippin and the newFinding Neverland.

The season also includesNice Fish, a play about two men fishing on a lake in frozen Minnesota written by Rylance and Louis Jenkins, and the world premiere of Ensler’s 2013 memoir starring Ensler and directed by Paulus.
