Cardi Bopted to drop her long-awaited cash-bomb “Money” two days early today (Oct. 23).
The J. White-produced track, which was originally due this coming Thursday, finds Cardi dashing back to her mixtape roots, flexing a steely flow over a thunderous beat. “My bitches all bad, my n—-s all real/ I ride his d–k in some big long heels,” the platinum-selling star asserts.
Though Cardi admits to enjoying the perks of her new found fame including “boarding jets” and “morning sex,” the Bronx MC lets everyone know that nothing will ever trump the idea of swimming in dollar bills. “I got bands in the coupe, busting out the roof/I got bands in the coupe, touch me I’ll shoot,” she emphatically raps on the song’s hook.
Baby Kulture also garners a mention on the second verse (“I got a baby, I need some money, yeah”).
For Cardi, “Money” serves as her first solo release since her debut albumInvasion of Privacy dropped last March. The album recently went double-platinum, and 12 out of the 13 tracks havereceived certification from the RIAA.
