Powering & Connecting Communities
Australia is an important part of Bechtel’s history and future. Our projects there have been located in urban, rural, and remote areas, and many have been Australian or industry firsts in relation to size, scale, quality, and impact. For more than 70 years, our projects in Australia have included mines, mineral processing facilities, LNG installations, refineries, chemical plants, power stations, and telecommunications infrastructure.
Australia’s governments and businesses have bold, exciting projects for the decade ahead, and Bechtel looks forward to continuing to be a valued partner in those plans.
In 2022, we launched Bechtel’s first Reconciliation Action Plan in a formal commitment to expand access and opportunity for First Nations people across our Australian projects and operations.
