Veterans Program
With their leadership skills, technical training, rigor, and mission-focused approach, military veterans are ideal candidates for many positions in our industry. We provide skill development, training, apprenticeship, and quality career opportunities in the construction industry to veterans and service members through our Military to Project Program and NABTU’s Helmets to Hardhats Program.
Internship Program
Our Internship Program allows students to go beyond the classroom and gain first-hand knowledge of the engineering, procurement, and construction industry, while also making a positive impact for our customers and communities. These roles, which are available for current students who will graduate in the next 1-2 years, involve technical training, mentorship, educational resources, and networking events, culminating with an intern showcase.
Apprenticeship Program
In addition to offering our own Apprenticeship Programs using the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum, we work with NABTU and TradeFutures to advance Apprenticeship Readiness Programs (ARPs). ARPs helps women, veterans, and people of color launch careers in the construction industry.
New Graduates Program
For recent or upcoming graduates, we offer development opportunities that will help you launch your career in the engineering and construction industry. You’ll have many resources available to you to grow your skills, learn from industry experts, and contribute to building a better world.
Returners Program
Our Re-Entry in STEM Employment Program (RISE) provides a supportive pathway for colleagues to smoothly transition back into the workforce. This comprehensive program helps colleagues regain momentum, build new skills, and unlock opportunities for professional growth.

Business Resource Groups
Bechtel’s employee-led Business Resource Groups (BRGs) bring together various communities of individuals with shared backgrounds, experience, and interests. These voluntary organizations enable colleagues to support each other and create opportunities to connect, collaborate, and celebrate with one another. We have thriving BRGs today representing our Black, Asian, Latino, LGBTQ+, disabled, and military veterans communities, as well as a group for colleagues focused on professional development.
Volunteership & Community Involvement
Our Bechtel colleagues around the world are active members in their communities. They are deeply motivated to give back by working with local organizations to improve lives and leave a lasting positive legacy. Bechtel colleagues are also able to join a bechtel.org project, our impact-driven infrastructure arm, then reintegrate back into Bechtel when assignments are complete, allowing them to transfer their knowledge and experience into commercial projects.
