Padraig Amond of Newport County rues a missed chance
Keith Curle's reign as Carlisle United boss ended in a draw against Newport County at Brunton Park.
The former England defender's side dropped a place to 10th as League Two's 2017-18 season ended while Mike Flynn's visitors stayed 11th after their 16th draw of the campaign.
Mark Ellis headed in the hosts' opener off Mike Jones' cross.
Padraig Amond replied in kind before the break, directing Robbie Willmott's cross into the net.
Curle will leave after three and a half years in charge.
Newport manager Mike Flynn told BBC Sport Wales:
"I thought it was very good as an end-of-season game. The first 10-15 minutes were a bit worrying because I thought were, let's say, not very intense.
"But they picked it up, we scored and I thought the players were excellent.
"It thought it was a very professional performance."
