Luton Town 2-3 Wycombe Wanderers

  • Published

Nathan Tyson scored twice as Wycombe Wanderers overcame League Two leaders Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.

The Chairboys had the perfect start when Tyson's shot was saved by Marek Stech, but from the rebound he teed up Paris Cowan-Hall to drill into the bottom corner.

Tyson then put a free header straight at Stech and visiting keeper Scott Brown made a fine save from Elliot Lee after 20 minutes.

James Collins was denied by Brown in the 29th minute, and Wycombe then doubled their lead 10 minutes later when Tyson smashed home from close range.

Lee pulled one back after 43 minutes, finding the bottom corner, while in the second half Alan Sheehan's free-kick was tipped behind by Brown.

Tyson raced away to slip the ball under Stech in the 70th minute as Wycombe led 3-1, but Lee set up a tense finish, beating Brown at the second attempt.

Substitute Harry Cornick should have equalised late on after going clean through, but could only shoot straight at Brown.
