Alfreton Town have signed goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith on loan from Championship side Sheffield Wednesday until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old signed professional terms with the Owls in November, but has yet to play a first-team game.

Wildsmith will compete with Jon Worsnop for the number one spot.

Worsnop originally joined the club on loan in December and earlier this month the Reds werededucted three points for playing him before he was registered.
