Chester FC to sign Jamie Reed after York City departure

Striker Jamie Reed is set to join newly promoted Chester FC after being released by York earlier this summer.
The 25-year-old is expected to sign a one-year deal with his hometown club later on Tuesday.
Reed joined the Minstermen in January 2011, external and helped the club win promotion back into the Football League in 2012.
First-team chances were more limited in League Two last term, but he played 20 times for York, as well asseven games during a loan spell at Cambridge.
Manager Neil Young told theclub website:, external "I've been speaking to Jamie since the window opened.
"He was very keen to come to the club and happy to commit his future to Chester FC."
